My husband was here for two weeks. I was not impressed. The food he got was spar. The care he received was not up to my standards. His sheets were not changed. And when the people are having bathroom problems, they need to be changed every day. Clothes, socks, sheets. And that is not something that happened. I did it. They would not let him come out of his room unless someone was with him. He felt very out of place and that he was not being helped as much as he shoukd have been. Two of the nurses were very rude. Just not impressed with this nursing home. Would not recommend.

Cannot say enough about all the staff that care for Mama and my daily visiting father. The tremendous care and hearts they have for their residents is astounding and such a blessing. When mom got taken to the hospital, they visit, bring dad breakfast and coffee and hugs and signed caring notes from them all. Means so much. They are family now and deserve so much. Thank you Martha and Mary staff.ππβοΈππβοΈ
Here in spring of 2021 (FINALLY!), I look back and give thanks for the staff and management of Martha and Mary's foresight in following strict guidelines to keep COVID infections to an impressive low by all standards. My Father was there through the entire 'pandemic and we felt he had the best chance of avoiding infection, given his circumstances, because of management's decisions'. From the start, masks and distance were MANDATORY for all. As things went from bad to worse, Martha and Mary screened employees daily then management made the tough decision to close visits down while others still quibbled . Gotta' admit, that hurt. We knew any day could be his last and like many across the country his last days could be alone. By the end of 2020, my dad and his fellow patients were among the first in in WA to get their shots and today visits are a pleasure (visitors still wear masks while the recovering don't have to). If you can afford more "one on one" care in a more modern facility by all means look into that for you and yours. We could not afford that and feel that the folks at MM use caring to make up for much of the other stuff and we the family get to pitch in on the edges. The staff is great to us when we visit. The location is a great place to take your loved one for a walk through old fashioned Poulsbo and get fresh air and sunshine (seasonal of course). Cheers
My grandfather lived here for the last four years of his life due to his dementia. The staff treated him like a family member and were wonderful supports for me as I sat with him in his final days and hours. Caring people and a beautiful setting. Thank you.
Warm atmosphere with caring staff. Occasionally have staffing problems as all nursing homes do but they work together as a team so patients are cared for. Remodel is complete on Marina Unit. Smooth flooring and walls have increased sound level.
