Margate health and rehab center is the best place to get rehab . The rehab staff are unreal. They work you to regain your own self. You will never leave rehab after a session saying to yourself I’m not tired I didn’t get enough of a workout. They work every part of your body to get you back to being strong. I can’t say enough about the rehab staff they are the best by FAR. The rest of margate health and rehab center the nurses aides staff treat you with Respect and Caring . You won’t find a cleaner facility in S Florida , they clean all the time, and NO Smell at all. PS the food is really excellent and I’m am telling the truth .Take it from a picky eater food is excellent Again thank you for all the help you have done for me getting me back on my feet. Alan Klein

My husband went there from hospital & I must say, I’m surprisingly pleased. I was all set to be disappointed but instead the opposite. It was a very clean home and all the staff was nice & very helpful. The room was clean, a little small, but not bad at all. Had a large nice closet. Very homey. My husband seemed relaxed watching TV in bed. He said that he finally got a really good nights sleep as the hospital was so busy & noisy. The patients that I saw on my walk to his room seemed satisfied & doing their own thing. No yelling or crying was kind of like they felt at home. That’s the feeling I got. The staff was plentiful & seemed happy to answer any concerns I might have had. I highly recommend Margate Health & Rehab.
If I could give negative stars I would. I never leave reviews but this time I felt that I needed to because what was done to my father and us as a family was truly disgraceful and traumatic. I trusted them with my father. This place was a place of horror for my 83 year old father who has Dementia and went in with limited mobility. He had to be hospitalized wt pneumonia but that's not the worst. He became completely immobile and with unstageble preasure sores which we were never I mean NEVER told about or even treated. He went for rehabilitation physical therapy and was given back to us in deplorable critical state. NEVER leave your loved on there. I wouldn't treat any living thing like that.
Before agreeing to a rehab facility, I did some research online and checked reviews. It appears that Margate Health and Rehab went thru a transformation because the earlier reviews were positive and so I chose this facility for my dad. I was right. The staff was caring and attentive. I want to especially thank the activities department staff Christine and Anese for taking my dad to various activities to get him out of his room to socialize with other patients. Christine also played dominoes with my dad, which is his favorite game although he struggles with dementia. Thank you Christine!!!! :) I also want to recognize Colleen who was gentle and caring and took care of my dad's personal hygiene. Thank you all
If I could go into the negative I would. This place is an absolute nightmare. My mother was there for 3.5 days, they rushed into her room when I came to visit and locked me out to clean her. I heard her yelling my name in pain. With atrophied muscles they were very rough. They do nothing but lie. My mothers health got so much worse, but everyday I would try to ask questions but she looked sedated. Finally I went in super early and called my sister in law who is a social worker. My mother was sitting up and told me everything. I was so disgusted. Then came her lunch, Kool aid full of sugar, banana pudding super sugary, and the chicken she spit out so I tasted a piece which was like they dumped the whole salt shaker over it. When I confronted them about the food, the 1st thing said was artificial sweetener tastes sweet, so I pulled her meal slip which said regular dinner. She's diabetic and they couldn't stabilize her sugar with insulin , she blew up like a balloon and almost died. The people crying out for help ignored. My heart breaks for the people stuck there for the rest of their lives. I wouldn't put my worst enemy in this place.
