I chose Maplecrest Nursing Home for the care of a family member following his long hospital stay and subsequent need for rehab. As this was my first experience with a nursing home, I did not know what to expect, and I was worried with a lot of questions. However, the team at Maplecrest soon allayed those fears. From the day I first contacted the kind admission coordinator Tiffany to the final day of discharge, every staff member always answered any question I had with patience and professionalism. My family member really benefited from the rehab program thanks to the excellent physical, occupational, and speech therapists led by the knowledgeable and patient rehab director Missy. I spent a lot of time at Maplecrest while my family member was there for 2 weeks, and I always saw the receptionists, STNAs, nurses, and other staff members treating every resident with respect and compassion. Ivorie of social services was especially helpful during our time there, and she facilitated a low-stress smooth transition from rehab to home. You can tell the owners, Lisa and Chris, put a lot of effort into creating a place to which family members can confidently entrust the care of their loved ones. I see why Maplecrest Nursing Home has an overall 5-star rating, and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
Maplecrest is a beautiful and family oriented facility in the Youngstown, OH area. My family and children have attended multiple community events hosted by Maplecrest with the opportunity to meet the owners, administration and staff. If you are looking for family owned and care centered, Maplecrest is for you and your family to consider for a loved one!
This is the best facility in the Youngstown area and it is not close! Their family owned approach trickles down and results in their staff providing the best care in the state of Ohio. The staff put the needs of the resident first making a challenging process easier for both the residents and their families!
Beautiful place, plenty of activities, good food and they have an excellent social service/lpn employee named Ivoree. I was happy with their services until they decided that my mother was too much for them to handle and recommended she their psychiatrist. My mother was confused due to many health issues and multiple hospitalizations. She also speaks up for herself and that is frowned upon... Their psychiatrist Dr Price juiced my mother up so much on DEPAKOTE AND ATIVAN that she could hardly talk and could barely stay awake. Then they claimed she has the beginning of dementia and recommended I move her to a place that deals with such behaviors. Well, I had them reduce the amount of meds that they were giving my mother and surprisingly she came back to almost normal consciousness within days. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. PLEASE PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION. THEY ONLY WANT PEOPLE WHO HAVE ZERO PROBLEMS. THEY CHERRY PICK AND THATS HOW THEY MAINTAIN THEIR 5 🌟 star rating!
