Due to Alzheimer's Disease my Mom currently resides at Maple Woods Manor, which she's been there since late September of 2017. Before moving to Maple Woods Manor, my Mom was at an expensive Alzheimer's/Dementia home for about three years until her funds were nearly depleted. At the previous location(which I will not name) had a couple good aides, but the rest of them did the minimum amount required of them. On the property of that community, it had four buildings. Two big three story assisted living buildings, and two small single story Alzheimer/Dementia care homes. The places were nice, but not $5000 a month nice! For that amount being paid for, my Mom shouldn't have ever had problems. The place only had one nurse for all four buildings, which we very rarely seen. There was a while when my Mom first moved there they occasionally did activities. But during her last year there, they rarely did any type of activities for the residents in her building. Also her health was in decline to the point that she had hospice care as well. Although me and my siblings addressed our concerns to the community director often, our complaints were temporarily resolved until they got back into there bad habits. Seeing we were rookies at that time, we really didn't have anything to compare the facility to. We just made sure our Mom was getting the best care possible, even if we had to complain on a regular basis. Finally it was time to make the move, because the funds were running out. To be honest, I wasn't looking forward for my Mom to move to Maple Woods Manor. The main reason, which was really the only reason, was based on appearance. DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! Since walking in the building the first time to the present, not once have I ever smelled any unpleasant odor. I'm not saying it never happens, but it never has since me and my siblings have been going to visit my Mom. We go up a lot too! The staff is incredible! There's three sections to the facility: West Wing, East Wing, and central. Each section has at least two full-time nurses, along with plenty of full-time aides to assist. Remember when I said I never smelled any bad doors? That's because they have a full-time cleaning crew constantly checking the hallways, residents rooms, dining room, and so on. Maple Woods Manor continuously have activities throughout the day with their full-time activity coordinators. Whether they play bingo(with little trinkets they could win), arts & crafts, reading or telling Store, etc…… Most weeks they will have musicians playing and singing or someone doing karaoke. The residents love it! If an entertainer has to cancel for some reason at last minute, then maybe they'll do a movie and popcorn. On Sunday afternoon(which is called devotional), someone or some people from one of the local churches will usually sing hymns from a book that is passed out to any attending resident. Occasionally they will add in a little sermon between songs. There's been numerous churches/preachers/reverends/priests that have participated. If the weather is nice, they may do the activities out under the big pavilion out back. During dinner some of the aides are at certain tables helping to make sure some of the residents are eating enough. That's nice, because the previous place never did that. Prior to my Mom moving to Maple Woulds Manor last September, me and my sisters didn't think my Mom was gonna make it to see Christmas. But now, she actually seems healthy and happy. She will never get rid of that horrible disease, but it seems like she's better though. That might be wishful thinking, but I'll take it though. Due to the HIPAA laws, some of the pictures of residents are blotted out. The entertainers and preachers didn't have to be. Just in case, I blotted out some of the employees too. If you have any questions about Maple Wood Manor please call them. Or if you want questions from a personal perspective about Maple Wood Manor or from the previous place, don't hesitate to ask.

My mother was here and when she was sent back to the hospital because she caught phenomena at this facility the management was too busy in a "meeting" to come talk to me or help me understand what exactly happened. We've hade multiple issues with this place such as (Mike) a physical therapist being rude and talking down to not only my mom but to myself when asked about the situation. The rooms are dirty and in desperate need of a full renovation! For what people pay to have there loved ones here this facility should be gorgeous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! And don't try to say your sorry to hear about my experience and you didn't know I was waiting. Not only did the office call you twice, I came back during the "meeting" and you were discussing if the 2way raidos worked in the entire building. Glad to know this was more important than a patient who just left in a ambulance!
My mother has been residing at Maple Woods Manor for the past two months, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The staff members are not only highly skilled but also genuinely compassionate, ensuring that she receives the utmost care. The variety of activities available is impressive, providing ample opportunities for her to stay active and engaged. She particularly relishes the camaraderie and interaction with fellow residents, which has greatly enriched her daily life. As her family, we are deeply grateful for the peace of mind that comes with knowing she is in such capable and caring hands. Our satisfaction with Maple Woods Manor’s services and community atmosphere is profound, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to others seeking quality care for their loved ones.
I wouldn't recommend a stray dog here. I'm trying to get my grandmother moved from this place ASAP. I CAN'T WAIT TILL TOMORROW I CAN'T EVEN SLEEP 🙏 I'm going to talk to my lawyer again in the morning concerning this place & a few of it's employees. It's been a nightmare from the start. I don't feel NONE of the PATIENTS are safe if they can't care for themselves or have people checking on them often. 😕 If I could I'd give them a zero 👎🙅♀️🏃♀️➡️⚠️🚫🚮
The facility was nice and there were a few nurses that went above and beyond but when they weren’t there, the care was mediocre at best. We were glad that our hospice team visited to oversee care. Most of the time it was ok except for one employee (CNA?) that would rather be anywhere else and was not afraid to show it!! Very nasty and nowhere near patient oriented, Made us nervous when she was working. the billing is terrible. Good luck getting money back from them when your loved one dies shortly into the month that was paid for
