Manor Lake is a blessing to our family. My parents have been there for over 7 months. The current Executive Director, the office leadership and the employees (CNAs, Med Techs, Kitchen) are extremely kind. The employees continually show love, concern and care for my parents. My parents regularly express how they appreciate the staff - the genuine concern and care they are experiencing daily in Assisted Living. The food is not perfect but the Chef is trying to improve recipes and outcomes.... and the staff is committed to smiling and helping. Highly recommend for the kindness and atmosphere. It is clean and modern and the rooms are spacious with windows. There is a lot of activity and community in the halls - and the employees greet the residents in friendly, loving manners. I'm there almost daily and see this - very thankful.

We recently relocated our cousin from out of state to Manor Lake Athens so he could be closer to us. The staff, especially Katie and Eric, have been incredibly helpful and kind, making the transition as smooth as possible. The facility is bright, clean, and well-maintained, and there seems to be a great variety of activities for the residents to enjoy. We are grateful for the warm welcome and peace of mind knowing our cousin is in such a caring and supportive environment.
Manor Lake is a fantastic place if you need care for a senior adult in your life. The staff are extremely caring and responsive to any questions. There are lots of activities for the senior adults who live there. The food is wonderful. They plan a lot of family activities. We lived Manor Lake.
My wife was in memory care for only a month before she died. They admitted her with only a couple of days notification, and the made the rushed process easy for me. During her brief stay I found the most of the staff to be very caring and skilled. Some took a special interest in my wife, and they responded well to her rapidly declining condition. They were conscientious about keeping the place clean and tidy. There were a few glitches, but all of them minor, and they quickly corrected those problems. Although their reputation in the past was not so good, the new management team has put them on the path to becoming an outstanding facility. If needed, I would not hesitate to place another family member there.
My father loves living at Manor Lake. The staff are friendly, caring and go above and beyond to help him. The director Doug Nestlehutt personally talks to residents and makes sure everyone is given top notch care. The activities are fun and varied. There is something for everyone.
