I was recently discharged from this facility for rehabilitation 8/24. I am a licensed therapist. I am giving my unbiased opinion. Beautiful building. Compassion and caring staff. Excellent therapy staff. State of the art therapy equipment not found in most Rehabilitation facilities. If you don't like their food, have your family bring. Takeout.
I wouldn't send my dogs here. My mother had to go for rehab after getting chemo and radiation therapy. She sent me pictures of the food and it doesn't even look like food. Some days she refused it because they couldn't even tell what it was...like the people serving it didn't know what they were serving and there was no was to guess based on the way it looked. Thankfully we were able to send her delivery food. She was told to bring her own water, apparently there's was not good. Then her pain and anxiety medications went missing. So obviously stolen by staff. Prisoners are treated better. Considering calling family services because this is blatant elder abuse.
cenal melissa 7 reviews Found on the floor the first night !! I only gave one stars because the facility is clean but after moving my mom there from another facility that was horrible. She got there mid afternoon.. The nurse came in. We explained my mother’s Physical condition what she is and isn’t capable of. I could tell the nurse at the time do not seem pleased to know the fact that my mom was a full assist and she is confused. . She gets very scared and agitated at night. we explained all of this they put her in a room with somebody even after we explain to them how she gets very disorientated and agitated. long story short I got a call at seven in the morning that my mother was found on the floor I asked if she needed to go to the ER they said no they did not see any visible injuries when my sister got there later we noticed my mother was not acting right we spoke with the administrator who stated they would not be able to get her any additional medication for a week and did not seem concerned so we decided to go send her back to St. Joseph Hospital. EMS came and took her vital signs. Her blood pressure was very low and Her oxygen level was very low , long story short she has fluid in her lungs and now in ICU … we could tell from the start they did not want to deal with my mom and her needs, which should’ve been stated before she was transferred... May be a good facility for somebody who needs normal assistance and some rehab from an injury but not the place for your family member if they need more help The rehab/SNF facilities really need to be regulated better by the state especially with the amount of money that they charge and the patient to nurse / CNA ratio needs to be brought down. So no, I would not recommend
The Lakes at Lutz looks great and feels like a very nice place. My issues deal with my frustrations trying to get an update on our Dad. The phone at the nurses station is hit or miss, with someone answering maybe 1/10 attempts. Going up the management chain and leaving messages, I finally receive a call back from the Director. I talked with him last week and explained my frustrations; so, I think he knows of trouble with communications. This week, I haven't gotten through or received an update.
