My mom stayed at Lutheran Home’s short term rehab for vestibular therapy. This is one of the only facilities that offers the type of therapy she needed. In just 1 week we saw an incredible improvement! Mark and Jacob at PT/OT were super friendly and flexible when I requested to join her for her PT sessions. They were glad to work around my schedule and met me with joy and an eagerness to help my mom. They were very transparent and were happy to share details about her therapy and progress. Overall the PT department did not disappoint! The food was also fresh! They were able to prepare special dishes if she wanted vegetarian food and worked around her needs. The nurses were awesome too! They were busy and short staffed but they did not compromise on her care at all. If there was an issue they addressed it and made sure she was well taken care of and attended to. I was very hesitant about sending my mom anywhere because we had a horrible experience at another facility but I highly recommend Lutheran Home! Seeing them give humane and genuine care to their patients left me with ease when I had to leave her in their care.

Very nice staff, and a great place overall. They have a semi elaborate photo taking sign in, and if you're visiting the area where they have to give you a scannable access card, they temporarily take your ID or driver's license. HOWEVER, visiting hours are super flexible, so it's very much worth the extra few minutes of sign-in process!
I can’t say enough good things about Brookdale Vernon Hills. My parents love it and it has put our (kids) minds at ease as they enter their elderly years There is so much for them to do without leaving the building. The staff are so attentive, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable . I feel They all have that special gift to work with the elderly. Rhonda is nothing short of amazing. She has really made the transition for my parents so wonderful.
I picked this facility especially because of the rehab and I’m so glad I did . I spent 1 month in the hospital always lying in bed . I’m 72 yrs old diabetic and have Ms I needed a miracle .I was given the dynamic twosome of Evelyn and Lisa and they delivered that miracle. I’m going home In. 3 more days of rehab. Many, thanks girls for helping me win this battle ! !! Update. I returned this August for hip repair although I haven’t had the same pt or ot techs for more than 3 days strait the rehap techs are the stars of the show Something has changed since April. I can no longer recommend Lutheran home for the Stacy
Staff was always very professional and kind. My mom’s nurses were Lori Ann and Roxanne. Being away From Familiar surroundings can be very difficult for elderly patients. I like how the Lutheran home keeps the same caregivers throughout their stay so they can build a report with their patients. Thank you again for taking such good care of my mom.
