It might be a little early to give my views on the Village, but will tell you it has been a pleasure thus far. The staff and residence of the Village have been more than helpful and friendly to my adjusting to this new and exciting environment. I have only dined once due to being away so much, but I am looking forward to having meals with others as many say that is the finest pleasure. It seems like a great place to spend my final years.

I can count on one hand how many Google reviews I have posted during my lifetime, but I don't have enough hands to count how many times Sean and his maintenance crew at Longhorn Village have gone above and beyond to help my Mom during the past 13 years of her Independent Living at Longhorn Village. As part of a recent balcony reconstruction project, Sean exhibited the rare qualities of a caring leader in how quickly his crew responded to him while showing such kind respect toward my Mom and her desire to maintain a beautiful apartment. Sean is truly a gem that shines his light throughout the Longhorn Village Community, and we are grateful he is here for all of the residents!
Outstanding retirement community...very friendly residents...DELICIOUS food...cannot say enough about good things about LHV...
2 years ago I would have given them 4 or maybe even 5 stars, but over the last year, the executive team has shown that their main concern is NOT of the residents, but about their bottom line. Residents are stakeholders in the property, but are not given a voice. They are working furiously to sign future residents up so they can justify the need for constructing another building. They were never transparent about where the building was going to go, and even though they held meetings for residents to express concerns, the concerns were clearly dismissed. I can never go see my mom during the day because the small guest parking lot in front of the building is always packed with visitors coming for their free lunch and tour. They removed the handicap ramp into the pool claiming it wasn't safe, but despite the residents concerns for wanting it back, they have made it clear they have no intention of putting it back. There is no ethical or logical reasoning behind this. The CEO never returned my email or calls on the matter. Aside from my mom and other residents not being able to comfortably or safely enter the pool, the facility is very comfortable, but not for long after they start construction on a building steps away from my moms apartment, disrupting what is a very quiet peaceful living facility. The staff (not the admin team) are friendly and as helpful as they can be. The location is very remote, making it hard to keep employees.
Very friendly staff. They know all of their residents by name and even their guests that visit. The place is very clean and it feels like you're visiting a 5 star hotel. The food tastes great and we love visiting on Sunday buffet days when there is a wide variety of options available. The apartments are very open on the independent living side, enough room to have family and friends stay for a while. There are lots of activities for the residents and things to keep busy.
