My husband is there right now. Yesterday was my first time seeing him in four days. The only reason they bathed him was because I asked. When I finally went to see him last night I asked multiple TIMES TO MULTIPLE WORKERS, SOME EVENING AND SOME OVERNIGHT WORKERS ABOUT VISITING HOURS AND ALL SAID 24 HOURS. I let them know I'd be staying the night with him just to be woken by a grossly morbidly overweight women (couldn't get a name) yelling at the top of her lungs. "You can't be here overnight!! I don't care who told you otherwise" now I fear retaliation towards my husband. No one entered the room to check on him, not even cold water. He has to wait and ask. Also, he didn't have his walker and they said they had no extras! One other thing, these girls barely work. There's no bathing going on, they couldn't update me on his rehab, eating and diet if any, no changed sheets, they don't wash their clothes, no snacks offered for when they are hungry. Do not go here!!! Workers sure, Easy money and you can study during your shift!!, as a client HELL NO. You could dress and look semi appropriate, act like you care. No laundry bin in his room or for blankets "just throw there". Absolutely horrendous!!!!

My mother was recently at Linda Manor for what was expected to be at least a week of Rehabilitation, following a transfer from the hospital where she had knee replacement surgery. Her stay lasted two nights, during which my mother was left in soiled pants (while being told to hold her urine) through two entire nights and exposed to Covid. I’m appalled and disgusted with how my mother was treated, and I can only imagine what other residents, who require more intensive care, are experiencing. Linda Manor is grossly understaffed. And this is the sole part of the problem. If staff were paid a living wage, which they absolutely deserve for the difficult work they do, then I believe the care would be drastically improved. Sadly, until this happens, the facility will continue to decline. I will be encouraging anyone I know to avoid placing their loved ones at Linda Manor.
We had an awful experience when a family member was sent here recently. On day one, the staff was too busy to listen to our concerns and receive pertinent background information that needed to be relayed regarding our family member’s complex medical history. We found out one week later that they were not giving him an important medication that was on his discharge med list. Other interventions were discussed in a family meeting but several days later, they still weren’t implemented. In the meantime, our family member’s condition deteriorated to the point that he eventually needed to be admitted directly to the ICU. To top it off, no one from Linda Manor even bothered to call to inform us (his health care proxy) that he was sent to the hospital. We attempted to contact the administrator with our concerns and now 8 days later, still no return call.
Bonnie Young, Director of Admissions has been nothing but a TRUE ASSET since the first day I called her to question availability for my Mom. She kept me updated for 6+ months on the status. Never ignore my calls and e-mails and was a delightful experience to meet her in person. Putting our parents into a Nursing home is not an easy transition for both parents and caring family members. Bonnie, made this transition comfortable. Linda Manor is blessed to have such an outgoing and knowledgeable staff member. I look forward in a good relationship in the future for this ongoing car is a partnership in providing the best possible care to our love ones.
Linda Manor is one of the best nursing homes out there as far as patient care. If you want proper care for your loved one, this place is definitely it. Residents are very well cared for and treated like family. All of Linda Manor's staff take their jobs seriously and are passionate about providing the absolute best care possible. As far as working here though, these staff are terribly overworked and severely underpaid. They are expected to do far too much with very little staff available, especially in the evenings. There are definitely better places to work where you will be appreciated and receive the pay you deserve.
