I am formerly a housing service coordinator, so I had the pleasure of working with LIFE Pittsburgh as several of my residents were enrolled in the program. The staff were fantastic from the beginning, helping with all paperwork and keeping the process pushing forward to get the participant the assistance needed as quickly as possible, usually within a month turnaround time. The interdisciplinary team of social workers, therapists, and clinicians were extremely communicative and worked together to ensure a holistic and individualized experience for each person. Any time any issues came up (scheduling changes, changes in condition), I was able to contact someone on the care team, and it was addressed right away. My residents also thoroughly enjoyed visiting the center, where they received therapy, a congregate meal, and recreational activities. It also gave the residents and their families peace of mind that if any medical issues needed addressed, there was a team of clinicians on site.

Life Pittsburgh is a fantastic solution for seniors who have the ability to stay at home but need medical and personal care assistance. They don’t always get it right especially with the operational challenges brought on by the pandemic. But the staff is very dedicated to facilitating the well being of its senior clients. They have been always open to receiving feedback and working with family on issues that may arise. I have no doubts about the commitment, expertise and devotion shown towards the care of my mother. Although every situation is unique, our family is grateful for Life Pittsburgh’s services that allow Mom to stay home for now and enable her to have a better quality of life.
The best thing I've ever done for my mother was find Life Pittsburgh! As I don't live close and my mother loves her home a doesn't wish to move, Life Pittsburgh allows her to be independent and gives me peace of mind. Since going to Life Pittsburgh my moms depression has diminished. The activities and outtings are fun for her. And since it is in her childhood neighborhood she got to reconnect and spend time with old friends!!! The Nurses snd Staff are professional and friendly snd more than happy to communicate with me. After my moms major shoulder surgery they make sure she gets to rehab and Im not spending hours a day driving. She loves her driver and feels safe. (She wont even get in a car with my sister☺) They make sure she has her medicines and is seen by the doctor if she isn't feeling up to par. I can't say enough about the Team in MckeesRocks. If you have an elder in your life please check them out!!
Their van drivers ae dangerous and incompetent; I would never let anyone I care about ride in a vehicle with those people behind the wheel
