My first impression was wow it’s pretty and it smells clean! The CNAs are very nice and helpful. Some folks are walking with their walkers and chatting with others. People are calm and seem content. This is a really nice facility for your loved ones to be taken care of! Thank you Care of Life Estero for helping my 95 year old mother get strong enough to come home!

My Mom was there for rehab after a stroke. We found the therapists (physical, occupational and speech) to be excellent in their respective fields and treatment offered. What was missing from Life Care was any organization for scheduling of everything from therapy sessions, to bathing, to hair appointments, when the doctor would visit, etc. Since Mom was non-verbal, it required a family member to be with her all day to ensure her continuous treatment and care. We found a lack of staff and we always had to go looking for a nurse, an aide or anything else that was needed. No one came to her room to check on her unless we asked. The aides often had attitudes. The administrative staff was average and hardly went out of their way to offer guidance. We moved Mom back home to NJ to another facility where the treatment, services and communication is stellar in comparison.
The staff were observant and friendly. The nurses were very professional and caring. Physical Therapy helped my mom get out of the wheelchair and back walking. She had very good care while she recovered from a fall. Thank-you to all who took care of my mother.
This facility was quite impressive. My sister is in there for rehab and she has gained strength and endurance since she's been there. The rehab was clean and had alot of activities, ice cream daily, activity room, beautiful dining area and very nice sitting areas. I was very pleased and impressed.
I suspected neglect and abuse where my my mom has been at the nursing home. Over the past few weeks she has lost a huge amount of weight..they told me she's refusing to eat but I've been going there and feeding her and she's been eating for me..last Sunday I did a surprise visit and mom's food was sitting for over an hour and I asked the nurse why aren't you feeding her and she said they don't dmfeed the patients ( Lie).?my mom has had what the call falls but after this past Tuesday there's nothing recorded nor did I get a call. They said they called me about it and there's nothing showing on my phone .this past week I saw my mom with new bruises to her face and they said nothing happened..they finally after days said she had fallen again ..she was in feces as well . I've been putting in a number of complaints with multiple people and nothing is being done. But when I saw my mom face on tuesday, I nearly fell to my knees.. I requested an x ray be taken, and they didn't want to take xrays.. the day after easter, I went there and my mother was sitting in a chair crying, saying her chest was hurting her. I immediately had them call 911. I don't know how long she was sitting there, complaining about chest pains. The hospital said that she had congestive heart failure and better ventricles are pretty much done, and there's still in disbelief how she's still hanging on to life. My heart's brokenI never wanted anyone to take care of mom.For the fear of her being mistreated or abused.. Yesterday I called children family services for adults and had them investigate, they are there now. All of Sudden the facility now wants to offer me everything under the sun. I wonder why. I can't wait to see the report because I am getting a lawyer. My mom, I look at her so strong at one time in her life and so fearless, sitting there, beat up so bad from falls or whatever and so helpless.
