My father has been a resident at Liberty for about a year. The staff at Liberty have gone above and beyond in the care they provide Dad. The nursing staff do a great job monitoring Dad's Parkinson's symptoms and they ensure he has the medications he needs in a timely manner so he can remain as high functioning as possible. The aides are so friendly and provide wonderful bedside care- Dad has such a great relationship with them and he says they feel like family. Dad also enjoys working with all the staff in the therapy department and they have done a wonderful job keeping him mobile and as independent as possible. All the other departments (housekeeping, laundry, dietary, activities, maintenance, administration) always have a friendly word for Dad and go out of their way to provide a clean, safe, healthy and fun environment. I hope they all know how valued and appreciated they are.
After taking my mother out of what's got to be the worst hospital in OH, Mansfield General/OH Health Hospital for pure negligence towards my mother's care, we found Liberty Nursing Care Center. Joe spent an hour on his day off speaking to me regarding their facility and the care they could provide to my mom in her condition. He even prepared a room for her that day so we could get her released out of the hospital the very next day which we did. My mother was in very critical condition at this point with several serious health issues going on so we knew that she might need hospice care very soon after her arrival at Liberty which was the case. The staff at Liberty were there to greet me and my family when we brought my mom over from the hospital. They were so caring and concerned for my mom's well-being and had the hospice care basically on-call for my mom which they did end up calling just a few days after my mom's arrival. They also bathed my mom right away and got her cleaned up since the hospital staff at OH Health never did in the 2 weeks she was there. Liberty called in Southern Care hospice a few days later and they took my mom's care from there but everyone involved were so caring every step of the way. It was a real comfort knowing that my mom was finally around nurses and staff members that truly care about people and give them the respect that they deserve no matter what condition they're in. I would recommend Liberty to anyone that wants their loved ones to be in caring hands.
I would like to thank Liberty nursing home on the great care for my brother Jeffrey Pfleiderer.He came to Liberty after having a stroke and unable to walk.The physical therapy department did a amazing job of getting him to walk again. The nursing staff was great and very caring.When the time came for him to leave, a few of the nurses were a little teary-eyed.They truly cared about my brother. I would definitely recommend Liberty nursing home. Sincerely Dave Pfleiderer
This facility has provided excellent care for our family member, treating the whole person! As always, with unique and complex needs, challenges arise, but Angel Webber and Michelle Smollen consistently demostrated compassion, professionalism and a desire to resolve any concerns for the patient's best interest. I would not hesitate to have any family member under their care!
