Over the course of this past year my crew has had the pleasure of relocating seniors who require assistance into the Legend of Mansfield, which is a well kept, welcoming facility. The staff at the Legacy always makes sure that my guys are adequately accommodated with parking, clear hallways, and an ever present staff available just in case if they have any questions and/or concerns during their routine move-in. With this being said, we highly recommend the Legacy of Mansfield to any seniors in search of a new assisted living residence.
My mom has lived here for 4 years on the memory unit. I never believed that I would be able to find a place with staff like this. My mother is treated with smiles all day from every caregiver who sees her. Respect and dignity is the rule here. Certain staff members get much bigger smiles from her than I do sometimes. My mother gets help with staying clean and her individual needs are met. The unit looks nice and meals are individualized based on her wishes. Staff and administration are educated on Dementia as a disease process and I have witnessed them handle many scenarios with expertise. The unit itself was decorated and built based on data regarding Dementia. We appreciate all the staff. Nurse Stephanie is a jewel. She knows every resident and each family very well. She LOVES the residents and leads by example, often serving dinner and helping with any task. If I start naming staff, I’ll certainly leave someone out! Frankly, I can’t think of one that I can criticize. The staff have helped me cope as I watch my mother decline. Catch a spot here if you can! You won’t regret it. The peace of mind for us has been priceless!
My mom and dad moved into Legends roughly two years ago. We’ve found the staff to be friendly and caring. The food to be good and the level of care above average. They always have multiple activities for residents. I could not have chosen a better place for my parents to be.
This facility has been the most help in helping me figuring out where my family is needing to place my family member with Huntingtons. I spoke to Melissa and had a tour. The staff and facility felt like a home. I was nervous entering the building but as we walked through I could tell the residents that were there enjoyed and felt safe being there. Even though she was not sure my grandmothers current health would be accepted she put me in touch with another team that could be of more assistance. Beyond blessed to have walked into this place just for a tour because I got to leave with a sense of peace and being pointed in the right direction to get the help needed.
