My husband and I toured Legacy looking for a place for my grandmother, we enjoyed the facility as it offered a homey feel. I appreciated that no one pressured us or made it feel like a sales deal. We were able to see several different room options and have all our questions answered. I also walked away feeling like my grandmother would be well cared for and offered a lifestyle that would bring more to her daily life.

I recently visited Legacy House of Avondale. Very, very nice community. Everyone was so kind and helpful and friendly. You could tell the residents were very happy there.. We had a wonderful tour with Becky. She was five stars. If you are looking for a great Assisted Living in that area, I highly recommend you check out Legacy house.
We moved my father here to assisted living from CA where he had been on his own. It was right before covid hit and they have done an amazing job of keeping him safe. I can’t thank them enough for that. They put up with his quirks and have been attentive to him. Then in January, we transferred my Uncle from a local memory care facility, 2 years ago we transferred him from out of state to AZ. He had a night mare experience in his previous state and we rescued him. He was ok at the Memory Care facility in Peoria and we had to wait with covid to transfer him other wise he would have been in Legacy last year. Since January he is doing much better! He has a larger room, more privacy, has made friends. Absolutely amazing difference. He was over medicated & Legacy worked with his new Dr to change it. This is not a drug them to make them sleep and behave facility. They truly want their residents to have the best experience possible and to still live. They aren’t a feed and water place, but are truly caring and compassionate. My Uncle has been getting physical therapy, which has helped him considerably. Jerry and the rest of the staff keep in contact with us. I highly recommend Legacy and I would put myself in their care without a moments hesitation. If more places during covid had been like legacy thousands of lives could have been saved. They have done a fabulous job. That in and of itself is priceless.I’m very grateful daughter and niece.
Legacy is a wonderful place my mom is living there and she is so happy. They had a mother’s day brunch and it was just so nice and the food was great along with the people who work there. Thank you legacy house!
My 89 -year-old Mom has lived at Legacy House of Avondale for eight months, with many visits during that time from her adult children, both local and out-of-state. My brother, a retired fire fighter, discovered Legacy and brought Mom for tours twice before she made her decision. My brother has seen many senior care facilities, good and bad, during his career, so he knew what to look for. Scott and I (wife Michele) have stayed on-site at Legacy in the guest suite during visits, which helped us get an even better feel for the place. This move was hard for Mom, leaving friends and completely independent living behind, but it needed to happen for many reasons and as Mom often says "This is a good place." The staff know and greet the residents by name and are warm and welcoming. Jerry D., Rosemarie, Leslie at lobby reception, and Cheyenne who cleans and helps with Mom's laundry, all make the Personal Touch philosophy a reality in how they treat residents in this community. Mom has enjoyed the Happy Hour events with outside music organized by Lucy in the recreation department. So great to see caregivers singing and encouraging movement to the music with some of the residents, including those from memory care. The dining room food is very good (excellent chef!) and the staff waiting tables are patient and hard working. All are great and Tyesha stands out as especially helpful. Special events at Legacy (Mother's Day, Father's Day, Oktoberfest) are great parties, with music, superb decorations, and excellent food. Most impressive is the way the whole staff work together to provide a fun celebration for residents and their families. In searching options as a family, we thought it important for Mom to be someplace with graduated levels of care so that she would not need to move as her needs change over time. She has only used her emergency call button once in eight months, with fast response and assistance. I do not know how Legacy performs for residents with higher care needs, but so far, we think that Mom made a good choice. Michele and Scott
