Very nice facility. Always clean and well maintained cooperative. Lots of amenities, such as a library, large activity rooms, beauty shop, fitness room and activites to join in if you choose. Everyone is friendly. Backs up to Lee park and has nice views. The landscaping and plantings are gorgeous. See both my January and late August photos.

The staff, the J team, John, Janet and Julie are excellent workers and take care of a lot of the business of the building. The people that live there are very nice and caring. You purchase the unit where you live. It's a cooperative. The membership fee is reasonable. They're concerned about the safety of the building. They have activities where people can get together and meet the residents. They have free food on the free counter on Fridays. They keep the building clean and orderly. I was very pleased with it, but I had to move.
My husband and I searched many places to live. We searched cooperatives, houses, and condos. The definition of cooperatives sounded great to us so took the list down and checked out 6 of them. We walked into Lee Square 13 years ago and knew it was home. We have not once regretted that choice of moving here. It is sometimes like a large extended family . We have a beautiful commons area where we can meet other members to chat, play cards board games, have parties, etc. or stay in our unit if we want to be alone. The grounds are beautiful all year around with flower and vegetable gardens all around the building - even a 1/3 mile path around the building. So many things to do. Is a beautiful place to call home.
location! location! Location! I have lived in Lee Square for 6* years. It has been a wonderful residence. Shoveling, mowing, public area-upkeep.... so much is done for us! Although we have entertainment opportunities here, the location is phenomenal for area events/ programs. The Y affords free athletic classes, swimming, coffee, book groups, knitting circles. The workout classes are taught by highly trained and friendly, encouraging staff. We are within 20-25 minutes of Pro soccer, football, basketball, baseball, and hockey stadiums/ arenas. We are also within 20 minutes of the theater district. Restaurants/ cafes abound! Shopping is excellent & close. Our own Broadway Avenue boasts 2 cafes, Wicked Wort brewery, Travail( 5 star), Pig Ate My Pizza, Marina( Costa Rican), Nona’s (Italian), and a gift shop with articles made exclusively by Minnesotans! Golf courses are plentiful. Two courses are within 10 minutes drive: Centerbrook & Wirth Really, Lee Square is a superb place to live and explore the area. It’s affordable and comfortable. I highly recommend life at Lee Square!
When we decided to down size, after looking at all of our options, we decided on Lee Square. It has been a great move. The grounds are beautiful. If you are downsizing or just looking for a new place to live check it out you won't be disappointed.
