I’ve been a resident of Laurelwood for 2 1/2 years. The food has been restaurant quality lately. Care from staff is adequate and consistently good. Nursing staff can be somewhat inconsistent due to staff changes. Maintenance and housekeeping keeps facility, clean and functional. Activity department keeps residents occupied with different Programs, Movies, Art projects and music. Directors of different department seem to be knowledgeable of needs of residents. Over all The living experience, I would give a 9 out of 10.

I have been a resident since December of 2022. I love the variety of music that includes audience singing. I enjoy sharing birthday recognition with a card signed by many and singing "Happy Birthday." It is fun to welcome each new resident and guests. Walking on the undulating and curving trail is great exercise--along with a rocking chair. Transportation is free for medical and some recreational trips. There are multiple games and a pool table. There is a variety of good food and beverages. There are multiple faith worship services. The rooms are a good size. This includes the bath with grab bars and a shower. Some feed the birds in our "garden." There is adequate parking . Nursing staff has improved with time including Grace and Laura and others. We now have an RN on staff. Maintenance keeps the floors clean and mechanicals repaired.
This is a great facility with some of the most caring people. Their team is very skilled and knowledgeable. If you have a loved one in need of assisted care, stop in and meet the Laurelwood team. They can help you find solutions to all of the challenges facing aging loved ones!
I am a third party provider that has been coming to to this community for several years. I have witnessed firsthand the exceptional care the LW team provides to their residents. I watch firsthand the interactions between them. The residents feel respected and well cared for. Highly recommend!
The most active building I have seen! The activities department is resident focused and has multiple interests for residents. Walking into the building you can sense that there is caring and concern for all.
