Like most places shiny and new it was by all accounts a beautiful place. Unfortunately, after 8 months this place has gone downhill. We put our trust and faith that this was the place for our parents. With a new director, her goal is Budget, NOT quality of care and it shows. If you have your loved one here, I suggest you be aware of changes, ask questions, follow your instincts and demand answers. Install video surveillance for peace of mind. Expect the best of care because we were promised above average care and now with people quitting, getting fired, the quality of care has suffered. Greatly disappointed, sad, angry and feel responsible that we have let our family down. There are still some good, kind caregivers, but like others they will eventually leave due to managements lack of support and take it or leave it attitude. The physical therapy staff are WONDERFUL and very good to the residents. Sorry I don't have much positive to offer. Just be as proactive as you can.
Wonderful assisted living facility with great staff who are extremely helpful and caring. My parents moved there on a temporary/respite basis after a fall and hospital stay required additional care that just wasn’t available to them with independent living. After realizing that care level was going to be an ongoing requirement, we moved them into a larger apartment as permanent residents. My parents are happy with the move and are settling in comfortably. From the initial emergency move to the permanent move, the front office staff at the Landing were invaluable in helping me navigate everything from out of state to get my parents everything they needed. Huge shoutout to Kim, who was always available to answer my questions and provide guidance, even for things not related to their facility. This level of service has extended to the nursing and care staff as well since my parents became residents. All of this has given me tremendous peace of mind knowing my parents are somewhere under the care of people who will go above and beyond to meet their needs.
This is the best place to move your loved one to. The staff is amazing & extremely caring. They always have wonderful activities & social events. Very clean & fresh smelling. Beautiful place to call home for seniors needing more assistance.
This stunning assisted living, memory care and extended care community is not only nice and new (still smells like fresh paint) but it is so light and bright without feeling sterile and over-modern. The team that works here from the front desk, to sales, to kitchen team to the Executive Director are so kind and personable and make you feel instantly welcome and at peace. The rooms are so spacious for this level of care and my favorite part is all of the built in storage in the bathroom making you or your loved one feel like there is enough space for themselves and their things. The setting being close to lots of shops and tasty places to eat but being set back from a busy road make it the ideal quiet but not removed place to live. Something else that I adore is the extended care has a beautiful green living room that feels as welcoming as your own home. I love the outdoor walking space in memory care that is secured and how the whole building is spacious but easy to navigate but not overwhelming. There is not one box being left unchecked at Landing at Watermere Woodland Lakes.
