610 Summit Dr, Fairmont, MN 56031, United States
My soon-to-be 94 year old father has lived there for almost two years and has had the best treatment. The new facility is very much like home and the nursing staff is wonderful. Dad actually seems to be getting more and more engaging recently...and I believe they are spending time increasing his mobility, which must be affecting his mind. Thanks to the great staff at Lakeview.

This was the 2nd time my mom was in Lakeview. She was transitioned to nursing facility and hospice team brought in. We could be with her as much as we wanted. Nursing staff for the red block were FABULOUS!!! So supportive so friendly kind compassionate. While it was a tough road to be on, I could NOT have wanted her anywhere else! They monitored her constantly, providing every possible comfort. They were of great support to me, my sister. Very informative on her status thru the dying process. I will never forget their compassionate professional service to her until the end.
My mother was a resident for almost 2 years, prior to her recent passing. This is a wonderful place for your loved one to be. The care received is professional, caring, thorough, and dignified. I would recommend Lakeview to anyone who is looking for care for a family member.
For the most part I'm happy with the care my mother is getting. I am however upset that my mother says there is one nurse that treats her badly and talks mean to her. I have worked in nursing homes and know that patients can be trying at times but you must still treat them with respect and kindness. For this particular nurse of she can't be compassionate with aging people she shouldn't be working in a home.
I worked as a CNA in this nursing home. I saw a lot of patient neglect. I saw CNA's change patients depends and not clean up patient before putting on a new depend. I saw bruises, skin tears and rashes in the peri area. Many of the CNA's did not use transfer belts with their patients. Also many times CNA's had to work alone even when the patient needed two CNA's. One patient died there while I was a employee. I had told the nurses on staff that the patient needed two CNA's to walk him just before my weekend off. While i was gone the CNA that took care of him not only did not use a transfer belt but she did not take anyone with her. The patient fell forward and hit his head and died. I know this because I talked to the CNA that took care of him and she told me that she let him fall because she did not want to hurt her back. She did not even attempt to use a assisted fall technique that all CNA's are taught to prevent this very thing from happening. I turned in the nursing home and got fired as a result because I refused to help cover up the incident. This home never got into trouble over the incident because they all covered it up. If you have a relative at this facility please visit them often and visit unannounced to protect your loved one.
