Lake Meadows is home for my mother. She has lived there for about a year and a half. Her apartment is spacious, clean and the bathroom easily accommodates a wheelchair. She has plenty of storage space for her clothes and personal items. The activity director has developed a program which accommodates different interests and ability levels. She has even set up a group of volunteers from a local church to visit with residents who do not normally participate in activities so that they can have interactions with people in the privacy of their own apartment. The management team has been receptive to any concerns that I may have. When my mother needed extra help due to a fall, the nursing staff was more than willing to check on her and assist her as she recovered. My family feels truly blessed that we found a place where she feels comfortable and we know she is safe.

I cannot recommend this senior care center due to serious concerns about the leadership and its impact on residents. The executive director’s poor leadership has created an environment where residents feel intimidated and afraid to speak up about issues. This is deeply troubling, as residents should feel safe and empowered to voice any concerns in their own home. The atmosphere of fear among residents is particularly concerning in a senior care setting, where open communication is vital for ensuring proper care and addressing problems promptly. A well-run facility should foster an environment where residents feel comfortable expressing their needs and concerns without fear of repercussions. The lack of effective leadership from the executive director appears to be negatively affecting the overall quality of care and resident experience. In a properly managed senior care center, staff should be well-trained, compassionate, and responsive to residents’ needs. However, poor leadership often trickles down, potentially impacting staff morale and performance. I strongly urge the facility’s management to address these issues immediately. Residents deserve to live in an environment where they feel respected, heard, and cared for. Families considering this facility should be aware of these concerns and thoroughly investigate other options before making a decision.
The management at this building has created an environment where residents and staff are afraid to speak up about concerns relating to resident care due to fear of being retaliated against for doing so. The building itself is not up to code and floods every time we get heavy rain. Furthermore the management cares more about budgeting than adequate staffing, so your loved one will be in an environment that allows there to be one CNA for 90+ residents. Keep in mind these issues before putting your family member here.
Lake Meadows has been a great fit for my mother in law. Her one-bedroom is designed well to accommodate her power chair with plenty of space. She gets excellent care, and the facility is super clean and well maintained.
Do not bring your love ones here. The staff is horrible to residents and puts themselves first. There is bullying, favoritism, and childish behaviors. The management is a joke. The nurses could care less about eh residents and give them the wrong medicine.
