I cannot say enough great things about Lafayette Manor. From the staff to the activities, everything about it is wonderful. They do such fun activities and can tell that they genuinely care about the residents. I’m not able to visit daily, but they keep in touch with me on any changes and still know me when I walk in. The staff has such compassion, and my mother has built wonderful relationships with them.

They took really good care of my mom when she stayed while recovering from surgery, facility was clean and staff was attentive
I would give this place no stars if I could. The staff members let my grandma lay in feces and urine for god knows how long!!! Every single time I went in there to visit her she was covered in feces and urine. The other patient in the room across from her, when I was there yesterday was screaming for god to just come and take him because of the conditions at this horrible place. These people left my grandma nearly dead!!!!! They didn’t help feed her and she became so skinny and weak She has a horrible UTI from being in that place. They took absolutely no care of her. These people don’t care about the elderly. I saw one nurse coming out of a room on a FaceTime call with her husband. Like are you serious meanwhile my grandma is laying in feces and urine until I come up and visit and make these lazy people change her!!! If you are thinking about placing a family member here, do yourself a favor and don’t. This place needs shut down it’s filthy. Honestly wouldn’t even be surprised if the owner of this place was stealing from the patients like Annalisa’s A Touch Of Home in Perryopolis. We were never called from this nursing home for any changes in my grandma or any new medication changes. We requested to be called with every single change and only received calls for when they needed money. DO NOT SEND YOUR ELDERLY FAMILY HERE
My grandmother stays here and it's one of the only places I feel confident she gets good care. The people are really friendly and you can visit 24 hours a day, and take your loved ones out for the weekend or just dinner. The staff is very good with the people no matter how cranky they may get, and you get the feeling that they actually care about the folks they take care of. There are tons of activities like Wii bowling and bingo, and they go shopping every week. The folks who work in the office are super helpful dealing with all of the things that you aren't prepared for when something happens and a love one is in need of care. I'm very pleased.
My mom was just discharged after a month stay to recover from a uti and other issues. Taking care of my mom has allot of challenges. She’s deaf and nearly blind and confused. Everyone from the cleaning people to the office personnel treated my mom and me with nothing but compassion, dignity and respect. They made a very hard time for mom and the family, easier to cope with. If you are considering a place to care you a loved one, rest assured Lafayette Manor will exceed your expectations.
