I have lived here for a little over 2 years and I can say that this complex is one of the nicest community’s you could ever live in. Extremely well maintained and so beautiful, clubhouse,waterfalls, fountains, you can even bbq in their beautiful bbq area. Everyone here from the staff to my neighbors are so nice...we are like one big caring family. I feel blessed that we found this little hidden gem. If you’re lucky enough to get in ( there is a waiting list ) I hope you feel like I do....like I’m on vacation everyday!

I recently moved my mom out of KPM as she is now a resident of Whisper Woods in Smithtown. Mom spent 8 years at KPM and our experience was wonderful. The facility was so well run, everything from maintenance to snow removal to cleanliness was top rate. Karen in the office answered all questions and addressed all issues quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend KPM to anyone looking for a 55 and over community. Mom made friends there that she will keep in touch with forever. Driving through the complex I always was proud that this is where mom called home.
Kings Park Manor has been dangerously delinquent in dealing with ants, which have plagued much of the local community here in Kings Park in recent years. Some of my neighbors suffer with respiratory problems and ant infestations make their lives very difficult as ants get into everything no matter how clean you keep your apartment. Toxic anti-ant spraying within apartments may contribute to respiratory problems for susceptible seniors. Management SHOULD attack ant nests outside apartments, but management ostensibly wants to save money and spray individual apartments only when individual tenants "can't take it anymore." Rent increases have doubled recently. These occur each year regardless of how long a tenant has lived here. We know from personal experience! If you like annual rent increases that may double from year to year and you are quite fond of ant infestations, this is the place for you! On the positive side, very friendly seniors who live here are making a valiant effort to increase social interactions via periodic lunch get-togethers and pizza dinners, etc. Management used to throw July 4th parties with free hotdogs, hamburgers, etc., for tenants, but those days are LONG, LONG GONE. Pity. The longer you stay some place, the worse it gets.
