My aunt was at Kimwell for 10 days for physical therapy after fracturing her spine. The PT associated with her therapy was walking the hallway with assistance each day using a walker. She was also shown how to better manage her everyday tasks. The reason for a 2 star review is the following. When my aunt arrived at Kimwell she was roommates with a woman who had her TV on loud all day and night which disrupted my aunt’s sleep. After 2 days the social worker moved her upstairs. Thankfully she was with a quiet roommate. The nurses were very friendly and helpful but the facility itself needs some updates! I also was disappointed to see my aunt’s soft blanket I gave her was over dried and damaged from laundry, which at that point I decided to wash her clothing. See photos that are attached for the meaning of upgrades. The room she was in needed an overhaul of new furniture, painting, and flooring to start. The inside of her nightstand and bureau was nothing appealing and I laid paper towels down before putting her clothes inside. The facility on the second floor also smelled of fecal smell always. I brought room spray for my aunt to use. The front of building is not wheelchair accessible at all so you have take the elevator to basement level and exit on the side of building to use a wheelchair which also does not have a very accessible ramp. Kimwell needs an overhaul in general especially when it comes to long term care. I repeat the staff does their best with what they have to care for patients and residents.

In all honesty, the beginning of my stay at Kimwell was a bit rocky. I voiced my concerns to administration, and they were promptly addressed. I was treated with the utmost respect and consideration by all the staff and administrators. I received excellent care from their PT department as well. I’d like to personally thank my social worker, Shirley and my unit manager, Robin. I also would like to express my deepest appreciation for all my nurses Nicole, Amanda, Kaleena, Myrna, and Hayley who went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and well taken care of. Kimwell aided me in making an amazing recovery from my stroke, and all the staff are deserving of the highest praise.
My aunt was a patient here within the last 6 months and received amazing care! Im so beyond grateful for the guidance and care that not only did she receive while she was there, but to all of us as a family. The nurses were very attentive and most really cared about the wellbeing of my aunt while she was in their care. I recommend Kimwell for any of your or your families wellbeing needs.
I had an aunt that recently stayed at Kimwell for rehab. She was located on the third floor and my family was impressed with the hard work of the staff and unit manager. They provided excellent care to my aunt while she was there and her health greatly improved. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
My mom was a patient there recently for rehab and had the best care possible, I can't emphasize enough how great the staff was on k3 and always addressed any concerns we had. I highly recommend this facility for your loved ones. From administrator to Nursing I had nothing short of a wonderful experience.
