No one plans to place a parent in MC or AL. Staff have made a difficult time in my family’s life exponentially easier. Staff continue to take the time to really get to know our loved one—not just their medical needs, but their personality, preferences, and history. That personal touch made all the difference. What stood out even more was the timely and personalized communication. We were kept in the loop regularly, and any concerns or changes were shared right away. Whether it was a health update or simply a story about their day, the communication is genuine and caring. From caregivers, to front office, to the director; everyone is hands on with the residents. You don’t often see this style of leading by example. But most importantly, the compassion and care shown by the team is evident. It's clear that every staff member is there for the right reasons. They treat residents with dignity, patience, and kindness—like family. Knowing our loved one is in such capable and loving hands has brought us immense peace of mind.

The facility itself is beautifully maintained, offering comfortable and clean living spaces. The variety of activities and outings provided keep residents engaged and happy. Kauhale Otsego truly stands out as a place where residents are not just cared for but are made to feel at home. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a compassionate and supportive environment for their loved ones.
MoM moved in almost a year ago. She was recovering from a stroke. Kauhale of Otsego has become home. The staff loves and cares for MoM like she is their family too. The outings are FUN. The card games are WILD. If your loved one needs care this is the place. Hugs to everyone there.
Clean, warm and welcoming facility. The staff here truly cares about the residents and are always doing fun things with them! From outdoor walks to activities the residents are always busy and happy!
