This place has always got a bad wrap, so when my uncle went there I was very scared. I can say that it was not dirty but the care was horrible, he left with bedsores on his bottom and feet, that I had to bring to their attention. We removed him because he got a black eye, one of the staff hit him in the eye.we went a lot , we complained a lot they did not care!!This is a terrible place don’t leave your loved ones there!

I wanted to be sure to take the time to leave this review as this was a very positive experience despite timing not being in the facilities favor. I am a nurse who works with a lot of different social workers day to day. I had the opportunity of working with Georganna, the social worker at Glen Hazel, in transferring a resident to our community. The experience has been nothing short of amazing, we had to work with a quick turnaround as well as it being the day before a holiday on getting a resident admitted with the required documentation and equipment. Georganna has went above and beyond to assist in the process and ensure a safe transfer/admission. She answers calls in a timely fashion as well as does the necessary follow up with family, health care providers and third party providers.
My first google review ever because I am traumatized by my experience here and I don’t even work here. I was getting paid to check on a patient and you couldn’t Pay me to go back! A woman on the second floor (supervisor?) accused me of discriminating against staff based on skin color. My mind was blown and I am still in shock. Long story short I was degraded at the nurses station and it was implied that I am a racist at least 3 times ( in front of staff and possibly residents). I was also told that I should find a new profession- (since apparently I discriminate based on race). I’ve been in the nursing field for 10 plus years (I have experiences in many skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. I’ve also never been accused of such a thing in my ENTIRE life). My mind is blown and I am truly traumatized. That is a very serious accusation to be throwing around. All because someone doesn’t like my approach because I didn’t introduce myself when I came in? There was no one on the floor besides a white woman who showed me the room when I first arrived-and this is what apparently makes me discriminate against skin color. Did you ever think I was looking for the nurse to introduce myself before all hell broke loose ? This woman claims she was trying to get my attention. I said sorry I have hearing problems. She said “that’s not my problem, how am I supposed to know that?” This woman doesn’t know me. Doesn’t know I have hearing problems but she knows I’m a racist? What! that’s how a visiting nurse is being treated how are the patients and patients family being treated ? I can see why there is a grievance on the facility staff. Very unprofessional. 0 stars
As an agency nurse I’d like to highly commend the employees of Glen Hazel for the excellent care provided that I’ve witnessed and for welcoming me and giving me the opportunity to serve their community.
Run for your life. They are so unprofessional from the top on down. The RN supervisor Jackie is highly unprofessional for a RN. Me and the other CNA brand new to the building. No proper report, got u bouncing from one hall to the next, no wipes, and they don’t help. They throw u to the wolves and want u to figure it out. RN supervisor told me and my other co worker that where we got our CNA license. Hollering and screaming oh yall need to get theses people up idk where yall worked at before. Mind you it’s our first time in the building no proper report. Instead of Jackie disrespecting us she should have been more of a leader and guide and direct us. But when your superior allows you to talk to people like that without repercussions it shows the character of the superior. I will never return back to glen hazel the most horrible places to ever work. When u see them pop up turn the other cheek.
