My ex is in there and I went in there today and I have to say this is the dirtiest medical place I have ever been in and the smell was horrible! I seen another review where someone said they would put there dog in there and I agree but I'm just the ex so I can't do anything about it and I'm pretty damn sure there keeping him drug and loopy so they don't have to deal with him because he was not like that when he went in..
Not a place for my mother to be. Unfortunately she is there for a few more days. The staff will not inform me about my mother's health and issues that she is having. I tried a number of times to have the Dr or physical therapist call me, or come out of the office to talk to me about her health, and what we can do to make her stay as pleasant as possible, and what we can do to help her get back home... With no avail, absolutely no communication from the staff. I would recommend finding a more suitable place for your loved ones, They are very under staffed there. Could be the reason for that kind of treatment. It really makes me SAD.
DO NOT let your love one be placed there!!! My husband was placed there after being in intensive care for a week. The bed was barely adequate, the TV didn’t work, there was a very unsafe broken chair in the room. He wasn’t fed regularly, He was promised baths that never happened. The nurse was overwhelmed. Medication was not given at the proper time. The lack of compassion and care was unbelievable!!! I took my husband out after a week… do not let the new name fool you, Kalispell rehab and Heritage Place are the same facility.
My grandmother was placed in the his facility with COPD. We showed up to visit and found her laying in bed with the emergency cord wrapped around her hand so tight it was cutting off circulation. She was laying in soiled clothing. She had to have payed there for some time like that because her clothes were drying. We were outraged! We filed a complaint and asked for answers but received a list of excuses. Within a week we had her moved. A couple years later my grandfather was ill and transferred from the hospital to Heritage (only opening at the time) until an opening at Brendan house came open. In 6 weeks he was treated horrible. We are talking the most gentle man you’d ever meet. I visited often and after a couple weeks I noticed a shift in his personality. He quietly opened up about a mean nurse. He watched his door was and spoke very quickly while telling me. He lifted his shirt to reveal horrible bruising from insulin injections. He said she would not listen when he asked to have injections moved around (alternating injection spots) because of the pain he was in. He also showed me bruises on his arms from her. She told him to “quit whining and act like a grow. Man.” I was so afraid to leave him there. He was also terrified of me reporting them, fear of retaliation, if she found out he told on her. Our elderly should never have to endure this type of treatment. This was absolutely abuse/neglect and nothing was done about it. I did file a report and did everything in my power to get him moved ASAP. I was able to get him moved to the Brendan house where he was much happier. There is a reason there’s typically opening available at this facility. Keep that in mind when looking for somewhere for your loved one.
