Joliet Terrace is one of the best environments I have worked in the past 2yrs I love it here, we have a good team and as needed our team comes together as a group from all departments nursing, dietary, administration, activities to make the best decisions for our residents. Ther residents here enjoy the things they are offered as far as outings great Friday Socials, the best coffee aside of Joliet. We don't look at our residents as just a random person they are our family it's a great place to bring a family member that needs love and attention. Our administrator is a very positive person ❤️
I have worked for Joliet Terrace for many years and after a leave of absence for 5yrs and I very proud to be back apart of the JT team. This is one of the most positive work places that I have worked at I love that staff comes together as a team. Our residents are our priority!!! The administrator at Joliet Terrace has an open door policy meaning her door is always open for not only residents but for staff as well, she always put residents before herself. I myself enjoy my work atmosphere at Joliet Terrace i love my residents! I would highly recommend this facility for a family member in need your family will not ever feel like an outsider here. The activity department always goes that extra mile to accommodate all the residents need to keep them active! Joliet Terrace is one of the most positive facilities I have ever worked at!!!
Staff is great! Food is great! Clients are friendly! Building is well maintained and very clean!
Wish I could give zero stars. This place has the absolute worst administrative staff. Had an ear surgery scheduled for the past 6 months for my daughter who was a patient. This procedure was scheduled with a specialist so the wait was quite long to schedule. I called and spoke to Danielle director of nursing 6 days before the scheduled surgery date. Told her I needed my daughter taken to Loyola for the surgery in 6 days. Gave her all the info with a promise of a call back. Of course, no call back. I called back 2 days later and talked to Psych Social named Kendall. She was much more pleasant. Explained everthing again to her and she said that shouldn't be a problem. They arrange for patient appointments all the time. In fact, they had recently taken a patient to Loyola for an appt. She also said sometimes they take the patient themselves and sometimes send a CNA with them. She would check into it for me and have Dir. of Nursing call me back. I told her not to bother since she was already supposed to call me back but never did. Then she said she would refer it to the medical person named Diamond. 5 minutes later got a call back from Danielle, DON. She had a horrible attitude so I knew Kendall told her. She kept saying there was nothing they could do because it's already Friday and the surgery is next Tuesday and they would have needed more time to schedule transportation. I told her I contacted her 2 days earlier!! I was trying to explain why it was so important that she get this surgery but she just kept talking over me. I finally said "if you're going to continue to talk over me, I'll just wait till you're done so go ahead." She then hung up on me!!! If I ever spoke that way on my job I would have been fired. I called right back and asked to speak to the Administrator and was put into a voice mail. SURPRISE!! NO CALL BACK!! Unbelievable! Now it's Sunday and no call back from ANYONE. Also no call back from this "Diamond" person either. I called this morning and found out Kendall with Psych Social was in today so I left an urgent message with the receptionist to call me back. It's been 2 hours and no call back. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!! I'm checking into further legal action against them. No one should have to put up with this level of incompetence.
