Looks great and the facilities are very good. But this only works for residents who do not need a lot of care and are self-sufficient . Unfortunately my 90 year old mother declined rapidly after experiencing a fall while at John Flynn. We found that if your loved ones require close care and supervision this is not the place for them. We had to move Mum to a more appropriate aged care facility, but unfortunately the damage had already been done.
My mother who was in aged care , died of covid and never got to see a Doctor despite myself and her pleading for one and being assured one was coming as she started feeling awful pain . Over two days my niece and I were assured she was fine when she was obviously not. This company has lost 60 percent of its share price in the last five years and I speculate as to whether providing intense care and the need for doctors is compromised in the pursuit of profit for shareholders. Retrospectively a well reputed , religous, not for profit care facility would have been better.
It’s a good facility, with amazing helpful staff. Just a small feedback, it will be great if there should be guiding signs to provide directions of some specific places, as it’s a big facility and anybody could get lost and it is difficult to find the way back.
Amazing staff, very personable and make sure to really get to know the residents. Good facilities and food.
