3801 Loyola Dr, Kenner, LA 70065, United States
We moved my FIL into the Inspired Living location in Kenner, LA on 1.20.25, the staff has been nothing short of amazing. From Amanda and the intake team to Elise in PT and the facility director, Deanie, everyone has been professional, personable and kind. They made my FIL feel so welcome and wanted upon move in and helped him feel at home quickly. Since the move, they have been great about communicating his progress and needs. So incredibly thankful to this team for making a difficult experience so much easier!

My father moved in to Inspired in July 2024-- the facility looked nice and the location was good for the family. We were assured that they could accommodate his escalating mobility needs. We agreed to transfer his primary care physician to the visiting provider. We never got a report or a reply as to when they visited him, checked his blood sugar, (which as a diabetic, they were supposed to do) or even came to check his vitals. He needed to be put to bed as he lost the ability to walk due to Parkinsons Dementia and on more than one occasion he was found on the floor of his apartment all night long, covered in his feces. We were told by Deeni (the director) that they could no longer accommodate his needs. On the day we were to have him assessed for another facility the health director at the other facility noticed that he had unstageable sacral wounds, on his heel and legs. he was immediately rushed to the hospital with infection. We asked to see the record of when he was seen by the PA or NP (or whoever they were using at the time, the turnover was unbelievable during his 4 months or so living there) and were never provided with this information. We are seriously considering suing for negligence and will be filing official complaints with the Louisiana Board of Health. The AC had "temporary" units in the hallways that were never repaired, and the dining hall regularly ran out of basics like bread. It's clear this place is in financial crisis due to poorly run management. The facility boasted that they had a van that could take residents to their doctors appointments, but it was broken and in the shop and no alternative was provided. We had to source and pay for our own transportation to get him to the doctor on several occasions and were never reimbursed for the trouble. Now they are trying to bill us for 4 days that it took us to remove his furniture from the unit in the midst of dealing with his hospital stay and arranging for his future care. BEWARE!
Looks nice on the outside but clothes and items keep missing from my mother in laws room, her clothes which were once very nice are now dingy. Her door stopped locking and never has been fixed. Other residents walk in and take whatever they want. Typical nursing home behavior at an exorbinate price.
From July 2020 through Oct 2021 my father was a resident at inspired, it was a 5 star place. The Executive Director, Campbell McClure, was extremely hands on. He made sure everyone was aware of the goings on. Friday shout outs with a weekly update about what was happening at Inspired. In July of 2023 my Mother in Law decided she wanted to move near us, so our first thought was Inspired. She has now been there a year. The quality of care by the nursing staff, kitchen staff and Maintenance is still very good. However, upper management has really dropped off. Residents complain about quality of food all the time. The new director is virtually invisible. She doesn't return calls. Doesn't interact with family members of residents unless cornered. They no longer update family as to the goings on. No notifications when they recently had a spike in Covid. Land phone lines haven't worked properly in weeks. No notification about an air conditioning issue. We actually got an update call from the president of Inspired. There is a large staff turnover due to Management. If we had known this is how it was being managed, we would have looked elsewhere. My mother-in-law has made many friends there and really doesn't want to leave. I would think long and hard before considering Inspired.
I was employed for about 2 months. The only WHITE person on the day shift 7-3. They are VERY short staff. The residents DO NOT GET THE CARE they need certain workers can not move patients and some are just hiding. I expressed my problem with a person to the DON and she sent my text message to that person. The only reason I know was the employee confronted me, so the DOA HAD TO TELL HER!! You could be required to work 2 floors if a person does NOT come in, that means the client does NOT get the proper care. Sometimes you will find workers hiding in the laundry room, outside in car talking on the phone. I was Pushed to the point where I turned my name tag and keys and walked out. The money people pay to stay here they need to have better care.
