My husband and I took a tour of Ingleside at Rock Creek yesterday and we were very impressed. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and competent. Steve Noel was thorough and provided us with all relevant information while also making us feel very welcomed. Moreover, everyone seemed to know each other‘s name – – staff and residents. Ingleside is somewhat smaller than other retirement communities that we have toured and we liked this. It had a strong community feel while still having all the offerings and amenities that we would expect. We were very impressed with the entertainment choices. They have many musical performances and lectures on site, facilitated perhaps by its location in Washington DC. We will definitely be considering relocating there.

Steve Noel's tour was just perfect. He answered all our questions, patiently and thoroughly and then customized the walk-around to our interests. It was a great introduction! Susan Peterson
The beauty of the landscape surrounding Ingleside at Rock Creek was immediately inviting. That was joined by Steve Noel with his foundation of warmth, connection and important information offered with such hospitality. During the tour, it was heartwarming to experience his greeting by name each resident we passed in the hallway. It communicated the personalized experience and sense of home that seems so very present at Ingleside. He was most generous with his time during this first, exploratory visit to Ingleside. It was such a pleasure.
We were shown around by Mr Noel of the Marketing Department. He was thorough in his explanations and was very considerate in repeating answers when needed. He took us seemingly everywhere, showing us apartments of different sizes and locations so that we might make a mature choice. We also saw all the common spaces at Ingleside. They are charming in style and practical for their intended usages -- from dining rooms to sewing rooms to pool tables. This is a first-rate place my wife and I would be happy to join, all the more so since we could not help but notice the warm interactions among residents and the comfortable and personal way in which residents interacted with staff. Mr Noel was also charmingly forthright (and sympathetic) in explaining to us why there is such a long waiting list to enter Ingleside. Having seen what we have seen, and having reflected among ourselves about what we had experienced, my wife and I now fully understand the long waiting list too. Who on earth said that life is a bed of roses?
It was striking to arrive for a tour as the Friday afternoon lecture was about to start. The room was pretty full. People were alert, eager, and attentive. That in itself was impressive. After seeing the common facilities - and several units, we made our way through the post lecture wine & cheese event. The attendees were engaged in lively discussion. It was a happy involved group.
