I have grown up being a part of this community, as my mom has worked here for several years. She has been my inspiration, as she started as a housekeeper, and through hard work, determination and the love she has for the residents, she is now the Administrator. I love volunteering my time to help during special events, because I have grown very close to the residents. They are a part of my family. For the last few years, I have helped create the Haunted House Event (pics attached). This event is always well attended.

A very well and professionally manged facility, very friendly staff,great food and wonderful atmosphere. Well maintained garden and pet friendly.
I always enjoy my experience at Independence Village. Everyone is so happy and cheerful and it always feels very welcoming. The staff is very accommodating and go above and beyond with any request I've had. The activities are great and there is so much to do! The food is top notch. I always enjoy coming to visit IV and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a community for their loved one.
My parents spent their entire adult lives in one house except for when they moved to IV the last 2 years of their lives. After a few months of adjustment, they considered IV of Aurora their home and the staff and caregivers their family. The love that comes from IV is palpable. Everyone who works there are 100% dedicated to happiness and well being of every resident. Our family was blessed to find Independence Village.
Resident Forum is held once a month with the department leaders, allowing the residents to speak their minds and share their thoughts! Chef Rich has been here for years leading the culinary excellence!
