We have had an excellent experience so far. I am a friend helping a friend with aging and health issues; the two main people I've dealt with have been so friendly and professional and knowledgeable and responsive and helpful. They have done an wonderful job of educating me on assisted living. The other staff I have met have been equally friendly and helpful and supportive.

I agree this place is wonderful! The best part is its not just the staff who are so great, but also the other residents. I have not seen my mom so engaged with staff and with the neighbors in such a long time!! The staff really do care, have worked there a long time, and know all the residents by name – such a nice comforting environment. Thank you all for all you do caring for my mom! And a special shout out to Lauren who sends pics of my mom engaged with other residents and with all the activities that she plans for the residents – Thank you!!
The staff is incredible and they truly care for each and every resident. Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure the residents are safe and comfortable, and also happy and enriched. Staff and residents alike are super friendly and helpful. Lauren, the Life Enrichment Director, really goes above and beyond to plan regular fun family friendly events as well as making sure there are daily activities and projects for the residents to keep them fulfilled day to day. This place is truly special, and all of the staff, from the nurses to the techs, to the chefs, know each resident personally and they accommodate and adapt to each individual's wants and needs.
The management goes out their way to get your loved one in there than becomes to busy to discuss your loved ones care. If your loved one needs more personalized and specialized care this is not the place for them
I absolutely love the staff and residents here at Independence Court of Hyattsville! I am amazed at the longevity of the staff 27 years, 26 years and did I hear 30 years? That is amazing! The staff is so vested in the care of the residents and the community I am so proud of this community!
