I've visited The Imperial Club at Aventura about 6 times. 5 out of those 6 times only 1 elevator was working. They have 14 floors of residents and only 2 elevators. This is a serious fire hazard. I mentioned it once to the front desk and they were nonchalant about the situation. Should they ever have a fire and people's friends or family die because they were unable to get an elevator to evacuate because there are only 2 elevators for 14 floors and one rarely works I wanted to have this on record for negligence and liability. While I was there waiting at least 7 minutes to finally get on the elevator it went all the way to the 12th floor. On the way down the maintenance man put a key in the box so he could skip every floor until he got to the bottom floor. I thought to myself, how selfish to have left all of those elderly residents waiting on each floor who may have already been waiting. As you can see from the pictures people are waiting in front of the broken elevator. I have blacked out the faces to protect identity. All of the elderly are on walkers or wheel chairs. Imagine any of them trying to walk down 14 flights of stairs. I have reported this to the Fire Marshall in Miami twice now. I have waited long enough for this to be remedied before posting this review. To date nothing has been corrected. Secondly, if your loved ones have a complaint they will be threatened with eviction. It happened to our family member who is now evicted. One of the times I was there I had asked if they had cameras in the hallways and they personally said to me "no, they did not have cameras on each floor in the hallways". But when a theft happened from our loved one's room we told them who we felt came in and stole the items and then they said they "DID" have video cameras, that they checked them, and the person who we felt stole the items was not the one on the video. We asked to see the video and they refused. They refused because they were lying. Don't leave your loved ones here. It's a horrible place and we are fortunate not to have to go back there. In Response to the Reply below: Thank you for your reply. When we spoke with the fire marshal he said it's been years that your elevators have been broken. They have received past complaints. Secondly, when your elevator is repaired it still won't be up to code. Healthcare facilities, if possible, should have separate elevators for visitors, patients and staff. At least two elevators should be provided for every 100 hospital beds or 50 patient care rooms for the patients and visitors. A designated elevator should be utilized for contaminated personnel or material. Thirdly, we did speak with the head nurse who is the one who did the threatening of eviction to our loved one who then became too fearful in expressing any valid concerns following these threats. We don't have any desire to speak to anyone at the Imperial again.

Krissie at the Imperial Club has made finding a place for my dad to move to a wonderful experience. She has been warm, kind, informative and just great to go through the process with. We looked at a bunch of different properties & honestly deciding on the Imperial Club was a very easy choice. No where else that we looked at had such great amenities (like a nice pool, exercise area, game room, library, etc) and the thing that sealed the deal was how accommodating, prompt & kind Krissie has been. Especially here in the Miami area it’s hard to get people to call/write back in a timely manor (if at all!) and Krissie was there every step of the way through the process & to help with any questions we had!! We’re super excited for my dad to move closer to us and that Imperial Club is where he’s going to be :)
We moved our parents to Imperial Club almost 3 years ago into an Independent Living Apartment- from start to finish it has been a wonderful experience for our parents. Our parents had a warm, bright, spacious 2 bedroom and had delcious food and almost daily entertainment to keep them busy. My mom would dance during the music shows, she did their art classes and dad played cards or sat out by their pool chatting with other residents. My Dad sadly passed away recently and the building put a big sign up honoring my dads life at the front desk. It meant so much to us and we always felt part of a family when we walked thru the Imperial Club Doors. The staff and all the residents gave us so much love and support during such a difficult time. We have to move our mom now to a nursing home or we would have happily kept her at Imperial Club. We want to especially thanks Felix and Itzy(management), Donovan, Carlos, Lazaro, Shantia, Devin, Damaris(front desk)& the Dining Room Staff...we wholeheartedly thank Imperial Club for making our parents happy & providing a safe & loving place for them to live.
My father is 86 and has a comfortable, happy life and apartment in Aventura, FL. Given his age I have recently begun to think about : When will he be too old to live alone? He agreed to an Imperial Club tour set up by Krissie, the community’s Leasing Manager. Our experience was wonderful - from our arrival at reception to Krissie’s pleasant and fun welcome to the actual tour! Nothing is better than visually absorbing an organized, clean, and nice looking building / apartment and also receiving a lot of good information / answers. Krissie is amazing at her job! The 1/1 apartments are exactly right for any family member who is getting on with their years but still young enough to enjoy independent living in a great and safe community, located in a beautiful town! My father was set on staying in his current apartment but can’t stop talking about Imperial Club now! Thank you Krissie and Imperial Club staff for making our afternoon so very good! :) October 2022 Update : My family and I have leased a 1/1 for my father and he couldn't be happier with his new apartment, kind staff, new buddies and dining (the menus are amazing at Imperial!). He is a chess player and likes sports (soccer and the Dolphins) and has met a couple of like-minded, friendly people who enjoy the same hobbies.
Wonderful experience setting my mom up at Imperial Club. Krissie helped me from start to finish and was super quick with responding to me with my 50 questions (I could have written 3 emails in 1 day depending on what was being asked by my moms siblings and always answered promptly). The process was easy and if something was missing Krissie gave me my check off list. Loved it. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and since June she has been happy living there.
