I have never seen another senior living community as great as the Homestead. You can tell the staff really cares about what they do. The quality of care is top notch in all their buildings. From independent living, assisted living, memory care, home health and hospice, and home care, the Homestead knows what it’s doing and they do it well. I love that they are family owned and operated. The owners are so involved in the day to day, I think that truly helps set Homestead apart from other senior living communities. You can also see how much fun the residents are having by just a quick scroll on the homestead Facebook page! It feels like they have a new adventure everyday and the residents are having a BLAST! I think the Homestead does a great job at fulfilling their mission of “come feel the difference” and it shows not only in the residents and their families but in the staff as well.

The Homestead was literally an answer to many prayers! As we faced the reality of placing my father in a care facility my mom and I searched the Idaho Falls area and drove away feeling empty and hopeless. All of the options seemed impersonal, sad, and just not a good fit. Not to mention outrageously expensive. We decided to stop one more place we had heard of in Rexburg (The Homestead). We immediately noticed a different atmosphere. The cleanliness, the smell, the decor, the smiling staff and residents. The whole feel was joyful! My Dad ended up living there for over a year before recently passing. He was always treated with kindness and dignity. The staff is happy to be there and took incredible care of him. All the while providing fantastic opportunities to continue to live and explore life beyond the walls of the facility. Fishing trips, sight seeing adventures, and snow machine rides just to name a few. For my adventure loving Dad this place was a dream! As he passed, the Dr’s, nurses, and staff provided end of life care with compassion and care for the whole family. We can’t say enough good things about the owners and staff at The Homestead! Thank you for going above and beyond for the residents in your care and their families! You will forever have a place in our hearts!
The Homestead is a great place to be! Everyone there: The owners, facility managers and nurses, and the caregivers on staff really show that they care for the residents and want to help them. They are all willing to work with the resident and family to make the best care plan needed.
What a wonderful place and atmosphere. Every time I’ve gone in the place is full of energy. There is always something fun and engaging going on and the residents seem happy as ever. The staff is very engaging and friendly as well. I would high recommend bringing your loved one here. Also the new independent living cottages are amazing. Literally like living in a resort! They have everything!
I loved the atmosphere. The elderly are very well taken care of. But they grossly underpay their employees. They do not value their employees at all. They are always hiring because of the huge turnover rate. Their employees give it their all and because of it, the burnout rate is high. Unless you're family, the family sticks around and they live quite the very comfy lifestyle. Sam, I think you value others... it's just not ever shown nor expressed.
