I have had the pleasure of knowing the employees at all the locations! Exceptional resident care and follow-up! Leadership teams are outstanding with team work in all areas. I’m happy to say that Home of the Good Shepherd, a long standing community is always full with waiting list due to the exceptional reputation and care in the community. Thank you for loving the residents as much as we do!
For being such a nice facility in Saratoga Springs, I've noticed the Home of the Good Shepherd is not maintaining the lawn property facing Kirby Road as well as they have in the past? I have seen the lawn maintenance people mowing but they don't pick up the pine cones or litter that has been discarded and eventually ends up in the street.
Great facility if you’re looking for a better quality of life for your loved one, coupled with personal care needs. The building is well maintained with competent, caring staff- many of which have been employed for years. Staff are attentive and helpful and residents are genuinely happy. Entertainment is no exception- they are always kept busy with live entertainment, outings, games, exercise and so much more!
Overall, our experience w/ the HGS has been very positive, for the past 3 years, for my loved one. They provide allot of services for the amount charged, compared to other area communities. They are skilled, caring workers who treat us w/ kindness & respect. Our family member is very pleased there, especially w/ the food, activities, nursing & aid teams, salon & private room. I've found them to be very helpful, attentive, smart, decent, people.
