A newly renovated, independent senior living community, that includes three (3) meals per day, complimentary transportation, several fun activities a day, plus a beauty salon. Also has on-site rehab through Ramsey Therapy. The staff provides great hospitality with a lot of fun performances and events.
Beautiful well maintained Community with spacious apartments. Lots of common areas for activities. Great engagement from current residents. I was rather impressed with the quality and variety of meals during my time touring and working with this community on a project. The residents have lots of opportunities for activities and plenty of common spaces and amenities in which to partake in them. Very friendly staff here. Greg and his team do a great job with this community.
Notice all the 5 star reviews that the building gets all in the span of a few weeks. Don't be fooled, that is the employees of the building and family of those employees being pressured by corporate to give the building good reviews to pump up their rating. It's all fake. Building is basically a pig thats been painted bright colors. None of the photos on the website are even close to what it actually looks like. Deceptive as heck, but can you be surprised, that is their business model. Building is outdated and residents are charged a premium for it. You can do much better in des moines, avoid anything owned by holiday or atria at all costs. Update: I reached out to their "customer service" email that they provided so that I could share my concerns. No response was given and I feel that I was brushed off, which doesn't surprise me one bit. All show and no action. The Holiday Way.
Just helped my mom relocate and was having a very difficult time finding a nice place that is affordable, clean, loaded with services and amenities, and all existing within a great atmosphere; however we found all of that and more at Illahee Hills. Jess, Geoff, Joe, many other staff members and existing residents have been so helpful in just the short few days leading up to and including my mom moving in this week. The staff really care about their residents and families and we are grateful we came across Illahee (actually we caught word through another positive review/referral from a family member of a past resident). My mom also needs some other support services (both outside and part of the community) and Jess has been phenomenal in finding solutions for my mom. This move needed to occur for my mom in a very short period of time and all the extra time, effort and hard work by the fine people at Illahee have made this possible for our family, which has provided much needed peace of mind knowing mom is happy, comfortable, safe and very much welcomed here. Cannot say enough about what everyone has done to make this transition for my mom stress free. Sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone - wonderful community!
