Wonderful staff, everyone works as a team. Residents are listened to, and concerns are followed up in a timely manner. The food is good, and the place is well kept by the housekeepers. Love this place!

The place is the worst! If you care about your loved ones please don’t let the go there. My family member was ignored. They forgot about him, his meals( and I use that term loosely)were always hours late, his meds were the same way. The light in the bathroom never worked. This place is a joke. Here is a photo of a typical meal, anyone care to guess what it is?? Nasty!!!
I was very happy with The Guardian Health care facility! They are apparently under new management , it’s a work in progress but it’s definitely headed in the right direction. For the most part the staff was competent, compassionate and understanding. The flexibility with visitors and times was fantastic. I felt comfortable when I wasn’t there with my mother which was never the case prior to this . She made a miraculous recovery during her stay there due to the therapy and nursing care she received. I felt like they had an almost open door policy in terms of approachability of the staff. I gave a 3 star rating because we were never offered the option of requesting an extension from the Insurance co. for issues she had, a bedsore that wasn’t healing and the fact that we had no real direction , the home nurse couldn’t visit us until 5 days after we came home and that in itself was something that in my opinion is worthy of requesting an extension of benefits. It caused a set back in treatment and recovery . That issue should have been resolved before my mother even left the facility. I believe that communication between the business manager and the nursing staff should have been more of a factor than how much we had to pay because our time was up., those are just a few of the issues that occurred upon discharge. I feel terrible that what would have been a five star review was marred by discharging a patient that was clearly not in the position to go home, to be left with no home care for 5 days. It was obviously a serious breakdown in communication between the medical team and the business part of it It was and still is overwhelming. Had it ended the way it began , this would have been an almost perfect review. I would never discourage anyone from having a loved one recover at this facility if going forward they could just implement a Policy of making sure the patient is ready and completely set up to be at home. Had it not been for this issue a minor complaint I would have had was the fact that there were no phones in the patient rooms. Minor shortcoming I know but not a lot of senior citizens don’t t have cell phones
My grandmother had items stolen on a regular basis. She constantly was asking us to buy the same cosmetics items because they kept “disappearing”. (Her and her roommate were both bedridden). On the day she died-within hours items were missing out of her room. No one visited the other roommate, only staff were there. There were sentimental and valued items the family wanted. Of course there is always good staffs-but whoever does this overshadows them
All of my Grandmothers caregivers were so friendly and responsive. We had a private room to visit with her as well. Her room was clean and the bed was made. All in all a nice visit!
