If I could give a 0 I would. Place is clean and beautiful. Woman at front desk does her job poorly or not at all. I went for a tour in hopes to place my cousin who was at a terrible nursing home. Tour was great but I never heard back. Seemed like a good chance she would get in. I called about 5 times and left a message with no return call. I finally got a response when I private messaged on Facebook. If they didn’t want to take her then let me know. Thankfully she’s in a wonderful place now called Providence Place

Highland Park is just a special place. The facility itself is beautiful from the woodwork to the furniture to the paintings, etc. The atmosphere is bright and the way it is laid out is literally resort-like. But what really makes Highland park special is the staff. I cannot say enough about them. What struck me the first time I took my father through was this...it is very OBVIOUS that the staff loves working there. That was incredibly important to me. They are accommodating, caring, attentive and are always looking to make my father's day easy and enjoyable. As any son would, I had reservations when looking at a senior living facility for my father... this is not just any senior facility. It is much much more. We could not be happier.
Highland park is a number one class act and I’m an RN with lots of experience so I know how it works. They were so much like family that I want to go back and visit. My dear Aunt Dorothy just passed being a resident st Highland. Hard to believe Carol and Yaya stayed after their shift sleeping there so they could be with the family if we needed them. They even came to the funeral home to say goodbye... plus flowers..... I’m going there when my time comes... so much love and I love you guys right back!!!!!! So glad we took Aunt Dorothy there! Best place in NE Pa !!!!!
My mom has been at highland for the past 3 years. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the living facility and the staff. Since I do not live in the area, I have complete confidence that my mom is well cared for on a daily basis. Reasonably priced for all the great service they provide.
The place itself is beautiful. The bosses and worker are not. There were alot of health violations to the client's there. Two clients was given the wrong dose of medication and could have died. People who are not licensed nurses are giving out meds too people. People that's working there are uncaring and just about the money. I miss the client's ,I made friends with, an can't even visit them. Someone is going to die due to negligents of others not caring enough. Someone needs to secretly work there and see what's going on. Because if that was my family an I'm paying all that money. I would want my family members treated better then they are right now. An they are building another building right now on Montague Mountain in Scranton, PA right now. People be aware of your family members lives in someone else's hands. Take care.
