My mother was moved to Highland Court Memory care right at the beginning of covid. We were able to have a few good visits with her before lockdown started- the facility is very clean & well kept. There is absolutely no smell like you find in many care homes. It’s light & airy, with a beautiful courtyard in back. After lockdown began, we would call frequently for updates on her. The Med techs would take all the time we needed to answer questions & assure us of her well being. The staff genuinely loved her, & she was never treated as just another patient. They often sent pictures of her at various activities & dubbed her the queen of bingo as she so often won. When restrictions lightened up & we were allowed courtyard visits, Kathy had to supervise the visits to be sure we followed proper protocol, but she never made the supervision feel awkward. When the end was nearing, they allowed unlimited bedside visits & played her favorite music round the clock to soothe her. Having to uproot a parent from their home is never an easy decision, but if you have to do it, there is no better place for them to finish out their days in a loving atmosphere.
If the time comes, I would happily place my family member at Highland Court. The building is clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff are sweethearts and do so wonderful with the residents. The food is fantastic. And the many outdoor areas make it such a great place for the elderly who are in a tough spot of aging. Thank you Highland Court for all that you do for our community.
My dad received very good care at Highland Court Memory Care. The entire staff is compassionate, patient, and loving toward all the residents. Dad and I felt part of a family there. I was confident that he was safe and comfortable during this final stage of his life.
Highland Court was my mom’s final home for 10 months. Since I’ve posted a review before, I won’t repeat myself- I only wish to add that if I ever need a memory care home down the road, I can only hope & pray I find as good a place here. If I could give them 10 stars for loving care & a clean, happy place to live out a person’s final days, I would.
