So my family members have been to this center 3 times. Communication there is awful. You have a different little girl in the room every day and the information she can receive on the patient is restricted. When you ask them questions usually the answer is I don't know. Nobody ever seems to know anything. They do provide services like changing the patientsBut they always ask me questions that I think they should know the answer to like what is the patient's condition does the patient bear weight on their leg I never know what happened nobody ever calls me. My mom was there twice before I found out that she can actually get a beauty treatment. They put her on the wing that doesn't get used very much and there was no information pamphlet. Last time they put her in a room where the light above the hallway door didn't even work so if she fell down nobody would even know. I think much of the problem is under staffing but I don't understand in an age of computers why they're still using notebooks to communicate with each other. Everyone seems to be walking around with a rolling computer or an iPad or notebook but nobody seems to know what's going on. The staff is kind and helpful to the limits that they can be but when you have a different girl in there every day and the information she has on the patient is limited I don't know how you can provide proper care because you don't have all the facts. Somebody was under the impression my mother had had a stroke and that never happened. The miscommunication and the lack of communication among the staff is just sad.
Caring staff and overall great facility. Would recommend to those in need.
My mom had to stay here for rehabilitation. These workers are spread thin so therefore they make their patients feel scared to ask for anything! My mom did not rehabilitate there at all … I would ever send her back there !!! Or any other loved one ! In these homes , if everyone worked together patients would improve and be happy while they are there .
My grandmother was there from October to December. It was the worse experience of my families lives. I would not recommend anyone sending a family member there. We were told this was a great rehab place. The first week she was there it was great. After that it went down hill fast. She was there for rehab a d speech therapy. This place destroyed her. There is absolutely ZERO communication with the staff. You would ask a question and the answer would be I don't know or I am not her nurse. As for medication they do not know anything about prescriptions except giving out pain meds for everything. We repeatedly told the NP that my grandmother was hurting because of arthritis pain and screaming because she was hurting. She could not get anyone to come into her room because they thought she was a yelling for no reason. I can you the nurses would yell at her and tell her to push her call bell and they would come. Well guess what it was broken!!!!!! Then they gave her Ativan because they thought she was anxious. That made her so put of it she could not function. We repeatedly told them no no no!!!!! Then started her.back pn oxycodone which gives her hallucinations and told them absolutely no!!!!! The nurse had the response of what makes me feel that way. I said she can't even lift her head and she is seeing things that isn't there. She has progressively went down hill and they did not turn her like she should have been turned. We even had two staff members which I will not give there name tell us that she was not being turned and now she is septic from a ulcer that was healing beautifully before she went there. Now she may not make it because of there poor care. They could not even send records or give report to the hospital because guess what they did not know. Now what medical place would ever tell a hospital they don't know. They couldn't even give a updated med list. I am so upset and angry of what out family has went thru and we repeatedly told them and told them what was going on and nothing was done. They would work on it. There are plenty of other things that happen as well but I can't keep going on on and on. I can tell you that I can do better than what they have up there. I am in medical field and I can promise you that I do not treaty patients that way nor will I ever. Such a lack of communication education and care. The blind leading the blind if u want to even call it that. Like I said I could go on and on. It was ab absolute terrible terrible experience. Please read this and beware.
