The staff is lovely. They have festive holidays & activities. The apartments are nice. The facility has services to help residents age in place. BUT… The big red flag is the dining experience. Residents have been complaining about the food for a year now. It is — at best — mediocre cafeteria food and it’s not uncommon for meals to be sent back. The parent company Hawthorne needs to get its act together.

My mom recently lived at Hessler Heights for 5 months, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place for their 55 and over loved ones that's between fully independent living and assisted living. The staff is very knowledgeable, caring, and kind, and you get your money's worth living here. Unfortunately, we needed a higher level of care, but we enjoyed our time here!

Patrick at Hessler Heights in Landsdowne is nothing short of AMAZING. When our mom needed to transition to a living situation without stairs due to an injury, we were not sure how to proceed. But then, we toured Hessler Heights with Patrick, and our choice was clear. From the moment we entered this breathtaking property, we felt seen, heard, and at home. Patrick is patient, caring, and works hard to make sure your loved one has everything he/she/they needs. Not only did he find us the perfect apartment home to suit our mom’s needs, but he connected us with excellent professionals to provide her the medical support services that fit her physical therapy plan. Additionally, I was so impressed with how he knew every resident by name and always had time for a quick chat with every person he crossed paths with on our multiple tours. To add to our delight, the meals (included, by the way), are five-star delightful. Residents often enjoy culinary delights served by skilled wait staff at artfully set tables with the sounds of live piano music pouring through the exquisite grand dining hall. Furthermore, residents can also enjoy trips to MGM, Prom Night, walking trails, an on-site movie theater, a library, and much more! Also, the other residents are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. They have all been so sweet and my sister and I have enjoyed many chats with them in the elevators and in the hall. Another point that makes Hessler Heights a standout is how much is included in the rent. You get cable, linens, weekly cleaning services, meals, and snacks (as mentioned above), and even more. In short, this is a wonderful place to call home, and Patrick is the absolute best!
My mom moved in a few months ago, and this place is amazing! You can tell that they really put a lot of thought into all the activities with a wide range of fun and interesting things to do. The meals are great with lots of variety, healthy options, and treats. Just a lovely, clean place with a kind and thoughtful staff.
