Having worked in the field of Aging for over 30 years, I’ve had a lot of exposure to Aging services. Being on the other end of this spectrum and in need of services for my Mother, I couldn’t be more grateful to have found Heritage Woods. My Mother’s transition was challenging and she required a great deal of understanding, support and assistance. Sheila is an exceptional Director in that she listens carefully and responds directly to concerns. She truly cares about each resident and making their experience at Heritage Woods the best it can be. The nurses Michelle and Jennifer and the CNA staff provide excellent care. Other professionals who make all the difference in the world including the physical therapists, activity staff, maintenance, housekeeping and kitchen staff all contribute to a healthy and positive environment. Tracy at the front desk always welcomes you with a smile and is also very helpful! Stephanie, the business manager, is always responsive and provides thorough information. I must also add that the residents are very welcoming and help my Mom to feel more at home!
After hearing good reviews and taking a tour, we moved my mom into Heritage Woods in August 2023. I go to visit often and honestly can say each time I am there I am continually impressed with their facility. Residents and staff are friendly, caring and welcoming. There are 3 nutritious meals a day, housecleaning, laundry services and plenty of activities planned to promote community and getting to know each other. Most comforting is knowing there are CNAs there 24/7 so if my mom does need something they are there to help. They check on her often and I'm extremely grateful for them. Every time I go to Heritage Woods, I'm more convinced this is exactly the place my mom needs to be. Todd M Freeport IL
A family member just moved into Heritage Woods and each time I have gone there I am more impressed with the overall operation of the place. Each staff member who I have not met yet has come up to introduce themselves and make my family member feel at home and comfortable. Meals are delicious and varied, the entire place is extremely clean, the services provided are above any expectations and the way the staff has made an effort to include my family member in activities and helping to socialize and meet other residents has me thrilled beyond measure. I'm now more confident than ever we made the right choice in placing our family member here.
