I had a chance to tour Heritage Valley Senior Living this week. What a quaint, charming community! Lisa gave me a wonderful tour and I got to meet lots of friendly employees and residents! It was very clean, smelled great and has lots for the residents to do. I was very impressed! Thank you Lisa and team!

RUN AWAY! If you have any thoughts of placing your loved one here….. DONOT! The Director Nikki and The New “Suits” Have meeting after meeting! Yet, have no clue about the residents! Food is horrendous, laundry service which you pay additional for never happens, there is no staff on weekends and in the last 7 months since it changed from the Willows Service Staff has been on constant “ jump ship”! We were told “we are building a dream team” more like a nightmare! Aids and other minimum wage employees are treated poorly….. just ask them! A bathtub has been inoperable for 18 months ( oh yes they continue to say it is supply chain issues) Lots of excuses , no action! Read the other reviews! We had an Aunt here and moved this past week! Heed my words! We have also sent a report to Medicare and have documentation of what their rating is! Do your research people! If you care for your loved one STAY FAR AWAY! Management sits on their fat you know what and pontificates from their offices! Receptionists Nancy and Linda are lovely! Nursing “Director” isn’t even an RN! Turnover of staff and residents is constant and most employees are AGENCY as they have such a bad reputation! They are down 65 percent but continue to keep names on doors of residents who have left or deceased! On our move out day there was another move and we spoke with that family who were as disgusted as we are! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!
As a former director, I wouldn't let them watch my German Shepherds. The management is AWFUL
Do not let your loved ones stay at the Willows assisted living facility. My mother was there and I regret the decision. The problems are numerous - staffing is constantly changing, especially with aides. They are always understaffed, especially on weekends, which they use as an excuse for inadequate care; housekeeping is a joke - rooms are supposed to be thoroughly cleaned weekly and it doesn’t happen. I spent hours on weekends sweeping and cleaning my mother’s room. The bathroom floor was never scrubbed except when I did it; the food is terrible. For the money they charge, it is unconscionable to provide such poor quality food, care, and housekeeping. There are a few employees that care and do their best, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone.
In the beginning, Willow Lane seemed the perfect place for my elderly Aunt. She was sound of mind, but needed help with mobility. The Marketing Department assured all would be the best for a mere $6K/month. I wanted the best for my sweet Aunt. Midway of a 10 month stay, the neglect began - dirty hair, toenails so long she could not wear shoes because of pain, left to sit on the toliet for over an hour - even though the aide promised to return. There is more ...... I tried to address these issues with Beverly in the business office to no avail? My dear Aunt passed the end of September 2020. God bless her at 95 years of age. She had kept a diary, photos, and notes each day of her progress and care received. To say the least, I was appalled. We could not visit her because of COVID-19. Willow Lane had conveniently dropped the ball. In cleaning out her apartment in the time of two days, I realized from her notes and my own observation that money had been stolen, along with personal property. In adressing the problem with Beverly, I was told to leave her office?? I am assuming that since the $6K/month had ceased, I was not worthy of an explanation? A sympathy card was never sent to my family, but a $250 restoration fee was promptly sent. In now closing, because I could go on, I would not take a stray cat or dog to Willow Lane. What you see in the Halls, does not go beyond the walls into our loved ones rooms. Please take heed and look elsewhere.
