Drama filled aides. They gossip at the nurse station non stop doesn’t do rounds until it’s time to punch out for the next shift. Some woman name Michelle with no job title goes around gossiping to any and everyone who’d listen about anything. The DON picks and chooses who she disciplines, as long as you’re asleep on camera you’re fine. A resident wondered outside and died. Please don’t leave your loved ones here they will not receive the care they deserve.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Heritage of Edina is! My Dad lived at the Tiffany building for almost 2 years and he was treated with such kindness and respect. There's a warm cozy feel to the place and the staff is terrific. Many employees have been there for years and that says a lot about the organization. There's something special about Heritage of Edina and I'd recommend it highly to anyone.
This place is one of the worst places to bring your family members. If u want them to die early, bring them here. They dont have staff, and if they do. The staff just sit around and do nothing, including the charg nurse. The state needs to forecouse on this place. when u walk into this place. U have walked into the 1950s .
This review is long over due. My mom found her way to Heritage of Edina in the spring of 2016 on the Elderly Waiver. As fortune would have it one of the custodians who cleans there is the mom of my best friend in high school. If she works there, I know it is good. When my mom moved in, she had just come off of a broken neck and almost dying from a bout of sepsis. After that and some rehab she settled in. She had a very rough first week. Because she was in an assisted living place and she didn't have her friends near her any more. However through the help of the staff who treat her like royalty and even the office workers who come out to visit (even AFTER they are checked in) she started to settle in and become more comfortable. Now, are their downsides. Yes. My mom does tell me of times she has waited on the toilet for a long time. And there have been days where the call alarms take a while to get answered. I defy you to find a nursing home that doesn't have this problem. People fail to realize that if a care facility isn't at near 100% capacity that some times staffing is reduced. Go and look at the employee of the month board at Heritage. A majority of the people there have over 20 years. UNHEARD OF. They have assisted living apartments with specialized care and some nursing home care. The owner, who works and lives in one of the apartments still make her rounds and talks with people. They do special activities for the residents. Picnics outside, music, singing, bingo, movies. My mom had been at a couple of "chain" nursing homes prior to this to rehab and got none of this. When something happens, I am notified immediately by the on duty nurse. The are detailed and thorough. The aides are also, all, ALL of them, so happy to help. They bend over backwards to accommodate my mom and any of the others. Food, lets be honest, it's institution food. And it is what it is, but their are fan favorites there too. They have a whirlpool bath that is quite frankly the best thing ever. It makes it so easy to transfer people. The people that get overlooked a lot in this are the business office people. I'm writing this after a pretty big crisis that happened in which my mom was almost not able to stay due to (in my humble opinion) a mix up in doctors orders at the hospital. They worked with me, after a very stressful morning and helped figure out exactly what was going on, and what would have to happen for my mom to stay. This all got addressed in under 24 hours. The billing office as well works with you when your loved one is in a tight pinch. If I had one thing to critique, I would say the carpet and artwork are a touch dated. However, when you find out the history about some of the items, frankly it makes it a little more like a home and not a nursing home. I found out about them when my mom went on the Elderly Care Waiver and I can't tell you, how grateful I am that her social worker recommended her here. Please do yourself the favor and walk through there.
I moved my aunt to Heritage in August of 2014. She was very happy living there and the staff took wonderful care of her. She participated in all of the music programs and loved to play bingo. She just passed away a few weeks ago and the staff was so kind to us during that difficult time.I really
