As an employee at Heritage Hills, I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a team that prioritizes the well-being and dignity of our residents. Working in memory care can be challenging, but it is also one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had. What stands out most to me is the deep sense of compassion that runs throughout the facility. From the caregivers to the administrative staff, everyone is dedicated to fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Whether it’s engaging in a meaningful moment with our residents or assisting them with fun daily activities, the connection we form with our residents is central to everything we do. The work can be physically and emotionally demanding, especially given the unique needs of people with memory loss, but there’s a strong sense of camaraderie among the staff. We work as a team, supporting one another to ensure that both the residents and each other have the best possible experience. The management team is always open to feedback and continually strives to improve both the care we provide and the work environment for staff. The facility itself is well-maintained, with comfortable and inviting spaces that are designed to meet the sensory and safety needs of individuals with cognitive impairments. From the secure outdoor gardens to the thoughtfully arranged common areas, everything is set up to ensure that residents feel at home while also being safe. I am proud to be part of this community and to play a role in helping our residents maintain a sense of dignity and connection in the face of memory loss.
Heritage Hills has been a great choice for loved ones. Alyssa Santacruz has been outstanding - her patience and empathy really shines through in how she works with residents facing memory challenges. Highly recommend!
