The community has stepped up to the plate and provided every level of service to the residents, including going above and beyond to provide everything they need during the shelter in place order. Every day, our family is gifted with the peace of mind, knowing that our loved ones are safe, secure, well fed and have access to all that they need. I highly recommend Henry Ford Village as it offers easy living in an environment with so many opportunities for social, health, intellectual wellness, and all in a beautiful setting. Maintenance-free living is an additional bonus that my parents certainly appreciate! The staff and residents are friendly and attentive, truly feeling like a family more than just a community. The apartments are spacious and the community offers so many amenities, activities and multiple dining options that accommodate all nutritional preferences. As a family, we are so grateful for all that Henry Ford Village offers.

Very impressive place, lots of history that makes you appreciate these pioneers and their contributions. We really appreciate as well the extremely friendly hosts and how kindly and patiently gave us the time to explain all the details about the place we stepped in. Very nice employees! We Loved our visit and would live to go again.
I am a very independent person who finds it difficult to ask for help. During the time I moved in I underwent challenging circumstances. I was at a rehab facility and couldn’t return to my home where my husband was residing with 24 hour care. He was awaiting admittance to Henry Ford Village’s Assisted Living department. During this time I needed to be close to him therefore, my daughter and caregiver worked with the resident counselor and move in coordinator to select and prepare an apartment for us. The staff has made it comfortable for me to ask for assistance. They are compassionate, accommodating, kind and efficient when contact them. Due to the pandemic, initially it was difficult to contact my husband in assisted living, but Michael was accommodating and resolved the matter.
Currently a resident in inpatient therapy . Both PT And O.T. Are excellent. However being in your is not pleasant. While some of the nursing staff is nice, overall the staff is not friendly. The atmosphere there is very depressing. Staff just seems uncaring? They can’t answer basic questions like, when will I get a shower? When the unit to adjust the bed is not working they don’t do anything to fix it other say they have to call maintenance..I found from one of the staff it is easy to fix by pushing 2 buttons.. No one takes the initiative to help in getting cleaned up..Several times they fail to make sure I have the call button.. Response time to the call button is terrible. You never know when they respond.. You are left with feeling the staff doesn’t really care about you. I say this where I just came from another rehab facility a few days ago. At that facility all the staff really cared about you and treated you well. Don’t be fooled by the cosmetics of Henry Ford Village. Being a patient there is very depressing. Everything looks nice and fancy but that is just a facade. I would never recommend this to anyone.
My husband and I have lived here for almost five years and are very happy with our decision to sell our home and move into our beautiful two-bedroom, two-bath corner apartment! Living at Henry Ford Village is nearly worry free and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are tons of activities and clubs to join and excellent fitness classes as well. We love to travel and it is so nice to be able to just lock the door and leave, knowing everything is secure while we're gone.
