I've never seen administration care less about the quality of life of their residents, and more about being in control of everything they can. My sister was living here for a few years and I can definitely say this isn't a assisted living facility. It's an assisted depression facility. Steer clear!

This place starved and abused my mother her entire stay. Moved another resident in her room whom assaulted my mother and they did nothing and allowed the resident to continue living in the same room. The staff also stole my mother's medications on numerous occasions. When I called to get more information on each one of these incidences I was hung up on and they refused to speak with me. The state is called on them almost monthly and I have no idea how they're still running!!
My experience w Hedgewood from beginning to end has been exceptional. It’s great to have an 100 % assisted living facility here in Beacon now. Refreshing to see that they have recovered from the hiccups in the past and can now offer the thoughtful care and AFFORDABLE assisted living that this region so desperately needs. Thank goodness !
My father in law was here until he had go to rehab. Despite our conversations and agreements for their assistance to help relocate him closer to us; they basically kicked him out while in rehab! We found out via the rehab center they put all his belongings in storage and practically hung up on us when we called about this. Not worth it, don't bother if you truly care about your loved ones
On behalf of my mother (who is no longer with us, passed on November 2019), who used to be a resident at this facility for 11 years, I can state I have mix feelings about the evolution of this place. My reflection is upon the last few years of her stay there and how the staff knew her quite and pleasant demeanor, yet placed a roommate who terrorized her for the last few months, where she tried to vocalize her de-stress yet no one was able to help. The roommate incapacitated and made my mother frozen in fear. I am also upset that she developed bedsore there and no one from the facility reached out to mention her ill. Her health worsen. To pinpoint the true cause of her death is uncertain due to the UTI, or was the festering of her bedsore was the cause. I withheld my response because 2020 swiftly arrived and now I am able to speak when she couldn't. I am still Mourning her loss, but most importantly the injustice!
