My parents moved into Heatherwood in mid November 2024. Their initial apartment was independent living but due to some health issues they needed to quickly move to an assisted living apartment. Beata and the staff were very understanding about our situation and made this a seamless process. The staff and residents are friendly and happy and we are happy we chose Heatherwood.

The staff at Heatherwood is compassionate and caring. The salesperson, Beata, truly cares and is focused on helping to figure out the best fit for my dad without pressure. The dining room staff really get to know the residents and their preferences. In fact, they have my dad’s beverages ready and waiting for him before he sits down. The front desk folks are knowledgeable, welcoming and warm. Beth, the activities director, works very hard to include and find activities for everyone. The care team that I have gotten know is wonderful. Kerri, Grace, Starsha, Tamera, Andrea, and Angela have made an effort to know my dad and treat him with respect while taking great care of him. The rural setting is peaceful as well as beautiful. It is not uncommon to see an Amish buggy.
This is a very nice facility. The staff is very caring and attentive to the residents. The facility is clean and well maintained. My parents really enjoy being here and have made a lot of new friends and go out on most of the excursions that they put on for the residents.
Although my parents have found friends and some activities here, I am very disappointed in the maintenance of the buildings. In both the independent and assisted living buildings, the elevators have been broken for more than three months, leaving many residents unable to leave their apartments or in danger of falling on the steps. In addition there has been constant turnover in both the positions of chef and director.
RUN from this place. Cook was late several times so dining area was late opening. Our table waited 45 minutes for our lunch other tables were getting dessert and we had nothing. They are money hungry any money you put in nothing is returned when you decide you have had enough of this place. My big mistake. Please do not consider coming here!!!!
