Where do I began this places is both good and bad . I worked here maybe a month or two i started May left in July. I realized real fast it's got a massive favoritism problem. Some STNAs only work in certain units and the new ones get floated around because those ladies don't want to do the harder units. Those same few STNAs will leave the unit for hours at night leaving the other STNAs alone to watch the unit . That's the main reason they stick with the same units so they can go outside smoke and good off and they are the easier units. While working there for two months I realized some residents weren't kind to new aides simply because they wanted their favorite aide to take care of them which I get but having STNAs all floats would have fixed this issues . When you are new here you are treated like you are an issue for no reason some long time STNAs are just straight bullies and push the new people from wanting to work which explains your turnover rate . This place has potential if you just fixed some of the bigger issues and dealt with the favoritism and bullying.

Staff are AMAZING. Very professional courteous people from the kitchen staff to the nurses. My mom really love it here. I would highly recommend.
The nursing staff is so wonderful. Mom has been here a month and feels at home. She has enjoyed all the activities and loves the food. The “C” floor staff have been super helpful and caring.
The nursing staff is a joke. My father was there for only 2 days due to the ineptitude of the staff. Starting with giving the wrong medication dose within his first hour there, to being told he could pull himself up since his arms work, his pressure wounds were not cared for as they had been at the hospital, not washing hands after changing his ostomy bag with no gloves, not being given a call button (it was on the floor) etc etc. For these reasons my mother insisted he be removed from that facility immediately. One of the staff even told my mother that she would never send her family member there. This facility needs a complete overhaul in staffing and this time train them. We will be following up to make sure both management and ownership are aware of the incompetence of their nursing staff.
My sister was in Heather Hill for awhile .. her room was dirty and had not been cleaned in a while .. we live out of state so we didn't know this .. the staff member Harry was a rude guy who only wore ridiculous basketball shorts .. my sister would ask him to adjust her and he wouldn't do it ..she had something hurting her on her backside and he told her their was nothing there, turns out she had a very bad bedsore .. they didn't give her baths or wash her hair .. she's gone two weeks without a bath .. I'm not sure why the state doesn't do something about this home .. this is the kind of home you don't ever want to go to or put someone you love in .
