I am a member of The Sunshine Performance Club in Laguna Woods and President of the Fit Brain Club in Laguna Woods which is sponsored by Alzheimer's OC. As part of the Sunshine Performance Club I have performed at the Healthy Aging Center (HAC) back in the day when it was called South Counties Adult Day Care Center (SCADS). As a Very Senior myself and wife of a wonderful man who passed away 6 years ago from Alzheimer’s with Lewy Body Disease, I became involved with the Center and all the benefits which Alzheimer’s OC brought to us through the activities they offered. In addition to Sunshine Lutey’s Performance Club, singing on Thursdays, my husband and I participated in a wonderful Couples Group on Fridays. As the center evolves under new leadership I look forward to collaborating with them and joining with the diverse activities through the many groups I am currently involved with in Laguna Village. Some of these groups are Tremble Clefs and O. C. Choral led by the incredible Music Therapist, Karen Skipper, The Silver Singers, Laughing Yoga with the Joyful Piano Artist Jeffrey Briar, Bridge Builders, and of course The Fit Brain Club with the amazing Mark Hochberg on Piano. Pianist John Rittenhour and I look forward to singing with you all on Thursday, January 18th at 1:00 pm at the HAC 24260 El Toro Rd, Laguna Woods 92637.

My father began going here a few weeks ago. He is very shy and quiet. The staff are extremely friendly and outgoing. They helped my dad make friends and join a few groups. Now he looks forward to going and seeing his friends.
Great place for Mom! Lots of activities to keep her occupied. Dementia is cruel. Staff are so patient & caring.
