If you like to do pretty much of the same thing day after day, week after week, this is your place! I call it snotty and lame. Over priced, and if you want privacy do not move here! Several occasions of pounding on my door 8 am staff yelling. 1 time nursing came in to give me my medicine, only problem is that they don't dispense my medication! Pretty scary! No handicap parking in the parking lot, except for 2 spots that allow for I think 3 hours. So that leaves you with having to pay a $75 parking fee for underground parking! It's like high school all over again, from the cliques to the administrative politics. This is my opinion only!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I have to say the whole experience once my dad got sick has been horrible. From being told my mom had to be out of the apartment as soon as my dad passed away, to someone in the family spending 100% of the day with mom (but we are paying for these services) and so many other issues. Not to mention Lifespark hospice leaving us while my dad is dying. My dad spent a whole day and night in a recliner which should have never happened. Hospice is meant to stay with the family when their loved one is getting close to the end of their life. It truly is a shame when you move your parent expecting them to get amazing care. Instead we constantly received phone calls of things we needed to come over and do, ordering us to bring things ASAP, having extremely rude aids who made my mom cry many times and so many more. What were we paying Havenwood to do? Oh and if anything happened 911 was called. At one point both parents where in the ER for nothing. I'm so glad to have my mom out of there and at Havenwood of Buffalo were she is so happy and getting the care she should have been getting from HW Maple Grove. She is very active which is important instead of being left in her apartment watching TV all day like she was doing. After moving my mom, we went back to finish getting the rest of my mom's things and to my surprise we couldn't sign in, the apartment was open, it was being worked on and there was sheetrock dust all over the items that still needed to be moved. Per an email exchange, we still had possession of the apartment until the keys were turned in. I guess this wasn't the case if you have been working on the apartment. This should not have been happening until we were done and turned in the keys because we had paid the whole month of rent. I did give Havenwood Maple Grove a chance to reply to the above email. I received "we are looking into this and will get back to you". Of course that never happened, I sent a follow up email and received a snide remark saying the refund check had been sent to another family member. There was never any apology for all that went on. The staff is very unprofessional, the dining experience is horrible. Running out of food and serving unhealthy items that don't taste good. The van doesn't go many places except once a week to go grocery shopping. It really is a shame how we treat our seniors. When you are paying $10k+ a month for services and rent, you should get amazing care and that didn't happen.
Waited with our mom for dinner. Took an hour. My mother says that this is very common. Food choices are not healthy. She previously lived in a place that had a wonderful salad bar that was up for every meal. I highly recommend this. We are told that they almost always run out of the nightly special. Happened again last night. Why not order more instead of always running out? The feeling of the place is an institutional space. There is no feeling of Joy or abundance.
My wife and I have been residents of Havenwood of Maple Grove for 2+ years now, she in memory care and me in an independent apartment. The memory care unit and its staff are second to none. They are caring and competent professionals who have treated my wife with dignity and love. The leadership here is committed to continuous improvement and it shows. Staff have been remarkably stable, each performing their responsibliities well. End of life issues and decisions are heart wrenching but there is no other place I would rather be at this stage of life.
About a year ago, we brought my dad, who needed 24 hour care and was diagnosed with MDS, to Havenwood. At the time, the doctors told us he had about 4 weeks to live. However, due to the care that he received here, he ended up living for another year. None of us expected to spend another Christmas or birthday with him yet but the care he received here went above and beyond and we had those moments again. Now, my dad did pass a week ago, but even though he's no longer there, the staff is still doing everything they can to help us with his Celebration of Life ceremony which will be held in their conference room. The staff is just so helpful and wonderful to deal with. If you're unsure about this place, i highly recommend it. They just might be able to extend your loved one's life.
